NZ..attack of the wowser womb women writers

‘Family’s caesarean baby tragedy’
Front page headline, online NZ Herald this morning
Now, nobody denies that losing a baby is a tragedy for the family. But this is not material for front-page headline news in the national newspaper.
That some sympathetic girly gwaduate of journo skool was moved to sympathy -nay, tears even- over her morning muesli is very touching. How about the girls go and write for Women’s Weekly and leave news reporting to the grown-ups? No bloody wonder NZ has become a womb-obsessed girly wowser paradise.
GIGO.

Yes, I know it was written by one “Isaac Davidson” but that’s another side effect of the mommyism that rules NZ today–herds of honorary shielas.

Yeh, but maybe it will make women realise the real risks of VBAC (vaginal birth after caesarean section) to them and their kids. They are either never told the risks or they are too stupid to realise that it could actually happen to them.

The sooner we get rid of this “vaginal birth at all cost” and “caesarean sections are dangerous” mantra the sooner we’ll see a reduction in the number of permanently damaged babies and women. Along with it maybe the public will begin to realise how dangerous and dishonest the direct entry midwives and their College are.

  2. KG says:

Heh! One trainee who left midwive’s training to take up physiotherapy instead described the course to me as “creepy and dangerous”.

  3. mara says:

The Herald is taking the “if it bleeds it leads” tactic to ridiculous lengths to increase circulation but it works because the populous is more credulous and pin-headed than before and cannot see through the device. These thicko readers are being played like violins.

  4. mara says:

Quite right Mawm. This dangerous, feminist, brainwashing legislation was started by Helen Clark who, let’s face it, was never likely to be impregnated herself. Errk, the very thought ….

    • mawm says:

Mara, it is UN sponsored and worldwide…..gotta keep the C-section rate down to save the third world.

  5. KG says:

 Just put me off my second beer…

What has happened to the NZ Herald? It used to be a serious newspaper. Now it has car crashes and gossip on the front page, day after day

Are there any good newspapers left? I won’t be sad to see the traditional newspaper die, and with it, the wet, sappy liberal journalists and “editors” (for want of a better word) go on to the dole queue.

    • KG says:

That’s how I feel about it, Lee. Newspapers have become no more than propaganda rags, pandering to the lowest common denominator.

  7. Flashman says:

It’s now a rare day indeed when a nz newspaper does not feature some human interest sob “story” on its front page.

Child and young mother cancer victims seem to be among the latest flavour of the month.

I believe this says more about the sick mental state of nz media audiences than it does about the cynical editors who mark this crap up for publication.
