Yup. A couple years ago now.
Mayall was an interesting and talented guy. He was probably solely responsible for the blues influence in the music that came out of Britain from the mid sixties on. He was a bit older than the rest and would take in struggling muso’s into his house and put them on the right road. Clapton was one of them.
