We’re taking a back road with no towns at all for the first 400km. Which means no bloody tourists towing caravans, either.

Alrighty then,no slacking once you arrive, fishing and relaxation are mandatory :cheers
Yessir. The beer is packed sir, as are the rods and reels. :popcorn
It’s probably the worst time of the year to go fishing up there, because it all happens either in the build-up to the wet season or just afterwards, but what the heck….
Enjoy yourselves. It’s a long time since I’ve done somethng like this and I’m very envious. Remember to work out how much beer you need…..and then double it……………………………. and then double it again and you might just have enough. :cheers
Yes,I find a good piece of double thick plastic sheet can be draped over the back seats and cargo area and then filled with cans of Beer followed by no less than 8″ of Ice.Run one open corner of the plastic out under the rear hatch and you have a handy drain for the melt water. It’s important to use Beer in cans though as bottles decrease the vehicles max GVW with non-drinkable weight.
See,this blog gets more educashunable everyday :cheers
Good work Darin.
Have you thought about a career in teaching??? LOL
Hmmm….maybe I could teach Fizzics :whoop :cheers
Don’t forget your gulf clubs.
Thanks for the advice, guys. But remember, “the best-laid plans of mice and men…..”

Well, while you’re on your trip, if you happen to see a barge full of Sri Lankans who look like they need a lift, don’t forget to call these guys:
Sorry – didn’t know the pic was so big and I don’t know how to make it smaller
