“Let them eat cake”

‘..As of June 1, Camp Leatherneck in southwestern Afghanistan will close its 24-hour sandwich bar and stop producing the hot meals traditionally offered during the midnight-ration service.
Rather than offering a hot meal to troops beginning or ending their shifts at midnight, the base will now only provide a “Meal, Ready to Eat,” known as an MRE…’
Meanwhile…
‘…Michelle Obama traveled to Massachusetts to lunch with rich donors who had paid up to $37,600 per ticket at the Taj Boston Hotel. The meal included roasted Chilean sea bass with a fricassee of asparagus.’            Link

The traitors eat up large while the *real* people (you know, the ones doing the work) get shafted yet again.
Just another day in this hypocritical administration.

Ghetto blacks making the most of their unaccustomed privilege.
Sorry, that was perhaps inaccurate and offensive. Substitute “Ghetto half-black and his ho making the most of their unaccustomed privilege”.

    • My sentiments exactly- they go – using our $$$- for high living-and our BEST get the shaft–Thank you commie progressives and the voters who vote for them!

Time to go get some shut eye-

I do have one take from a Marine -His thought- the Marines are going to get so pissed that ‘stuff’ will happen to get them out of that Hell Hole sooner!

Ok, this is a bad look and a handy ‘Bash the Obama Administration’ easy talking point. As much as it pains me, in the spirit of justice, I am compelled to make note that the US is pulling troops out of Afghanistan (the right or wrong of that is not at issue here). The logical progression of that is those who make the hot meals (i.e. cooks) will be transferred out before the last of the combat troops who are necessary for their protection.

That means that there are NO personnel available to prepare hot meals. I don’t like it but that is a fact of combat/occupation and the rest of us non-combatents have to accept it and not hang the ‘political decision’ name tag on it.

I’m not convinced, Michael. In numberless combat theatres in the past, field kitchens have been available to provide hot meals for the troops, very close to the front line.
Hell, there are plenty of cases where cooks and clerks have had to pick up guns to help repel enemy attacks. Army cooks are first and foremost soldiers.

It is just a matter of time before the military is without decent men and women in it. If they can’t get recruits to volunteer they will go to a draft. Then Obama and the Democrats will have their private army.

    OR

    A military coup d’etat.

I’m beginning to believe the second number will happen.

This is just more bull shit from a vengeful out of control administration that absolutely hates the military.

They COULD provide them with squad trays and heaters if they don’t want to provide a cooked meal, those would be better than MRE packs.

Or they COULD provide them with some fresh fruit a couple times a week.Nothing worse than trying to work and function while your blocked up from eating MRE’s while working in the heat.

The admin and the media assured everyone the last time this subject came up that there was nothing to it and it was part of the normal draw down process.Well it is,but not 12-18months worth. These troopers still have a long haul before they can go home.

Maybe we should put BO and Moochelle on a strict MRE diet and see how they like it.
