What a surprise!

Not.
on Gallup’s 50% approval rating for Obama:
‘..Since we know that the sample sizes were adequate; that the changes were intended to produce a closer match between Gallup’s predictions and the 2012 electoral outcome; that this worked; and that the changes made appear to be contra-indicated by sampling theory, we are left with three options: either the theory is wrong, a huge opinion shift took place during the last few hours before voting closed, or the official electoral result did not match the actual vote…’ (bold mine)

I have a rather simple explanation for the result with doesn’t take up pages and pages of hypothetical nonsense.

“Good day, sir or madam. I would appreciate you help in completing a survey for Gallup.”

    Republican responses:
    “No. I’m at work.”
“No. I’m spending time with my family.”

    Democrat response:
“SHUT UP YOU DUMB BRATS. I”M ON THE F-ING PHONE! Yeah, what the heck. I ain’t got nothing else to do. Axe away.”

Only one of these responses contributes to the result.

This is the exact problem generally. Those who are doing the most have the least time for politics. Those who are doing the least have the most time to con us with their political activism.
