Iran launches attack on Israel

Over 200 missiles and drones-

“IDF Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari says Iran launched dozens of ballistic missiles at Israel, causing slight damage to a military base.

He says most of the missiles were intercepted by the long-range Arrow air defense system. The missiles were mostly downed outside of Israeli airspace, he says.”

And apparently, despite what the media claims, the Abraham accords, which Trump sponsored, did have a positive effect-

  1. A token response to Israel killing a top Iranian military guy. Just enough to be a threat but not so much as to overwhelm the defences. They also telegraphed their attack to give Israel’s allies time to prepare. All funded by Obama and Biden.

      • I often wonder how history might have been different if Carter actually had a pair of balls.

        • Few Prez have overruled the state department. What State has been up to is one reason they have the nickname foggy bottom. They aim to prevent wars, but not enemy build-up. The latter provides more growth for the diplomat core, whereas war reduces the need for them but increases the need for the DOD.

All quick, clean strikes, such as Carter could have pulled off, are the last thing State wishes to see. Unless it’s a quick strike like taking out Qaddafi, which opened a much bigger can of worms.

      • I’m not sure about that. Hezb’allah is still well armed by Iran. The mullahs are so wrapped up in their ideology they didn’t even care that other Muslim countries (e.g. Jordan) would act in Israel’s defence.

        • The others are Sunni, Iran Shia. Trump’s Abraham accords paid dividends last night. State, in body language, hates it and him.

    • It depends, if Iran delivered their maximum effort last night, then they failed badly.
If this was just the opening volley in a prolonged attack, they might be able to gain some supply attrition.
