The U.N. should mind it’s own damn (corrupt) business.

    • Cadwallader says:

Have you noticed that those morons who oppose the TPPA forget that signing into the UN has already impinged on the notions of ownership which they sense will be lost?

      • KG says:

The U.N. agreements fly pretty much under the radar, and they’d have to be informed in order to know what they are.
The NZ Herald and Guvradio don’t do informed. And NZ television..bawaaahahaha…sorry, NZ television doesn’t cover anything above the comprehension of an eight year old.

  2. Cadwallader says:

It is interesting that given this week’s claims that the NZ judicial system is wanting, (prompted by the latest reversal of a NZ decision courtesy of the Privy Council,) that nobody of the Left acknowledges that the motion to remove appeals to that truly august court, was wielded by Clark’s government. At the time I did not encounter a single practising lawyer who agreed with the action. It was an early stab at republicanism by a socialist government and not a respectable juridical policy. The NZ legal system is too small to operate independently and dispassionately. This is not an idle whimsical comment but one based on numbers.
Until the socialists saw fit to sever ties, NZ had a free entitlement to sound judicial minds who were each remote from the day to day skirmishes of life in this small and remote country.
Last week I was lambasted here for recommending the removal of the Union Jack from the corner of the NZ flag to the extent of being accused of cowardice. The repositioning of a flag is possibly trivial to the extinguishment of the country’s highest appellate court. If anyone wants to be derisive then now is the time. The removal of the right to appeal to the Privy Council was unconstitutional and decrepit but most of all against common sense!

    • KG says:

I certainly agree with you about the relative importance of the flag and the removal of appeals to the Privy Council, Cad.
At the time I ranted against it but almost every person I spoke to about it seemed either unaware of how important it was or utterly indifferent.
“The NZ legal system is too small to operate independently and dispassionately.” was exactly my argument at the time. That, and the fact that it was almost impossible to avoid the appearance of corruption and cronyism when one’s advancement depended on so few people in such a small pool.

      • Cadwallader says:

There were a few lawyers who were in favour of removing the Privy Council as an appellate court so their names could be considered for elevation to the new-fangled Supreme Court. In other words…troughers.

        • KG says:

There’s always a few, in any field.

          • Cadwallader says:

A few of us tried to champion an Australasian Appellate Court which would have perhaps sat in Canberra. The jurisdiction would have catered for NZ/OZ/PNG/Fiji. It was reasonably considered as a compromise but Clark’s cabinet wouldn’t have a syllable of the idea. Socialists, (like her gang,) love to construct their own puny empires built on vanity, hate and always knowing what is best….for others!

  3. GW says:

By the way, since you have the Hildabeast’s pic up there . . . about the fact that she conducted ALL her State Dept. correspondence by private e-mail, at this stage, everyone’s focusing on whether or not that violates regulations by failing to archive. I’ve been pointing out on other sites, that’s the least of her / our problems. Unlike other administrators, she would have been dealing with materials classified to our highest levels on a daily basis. It’s been a number of years since I held a government security clearance, but I can guarantee you that communicating classified material across a private internet site is a HUGE violation of the law. A Criminal violation. And given that she did this for FOUR Years — not to mention lied about it in discovery — it is a violation at least on par with Snowden and Chelsea Manning (or whatever the hell he/she/it is calling herself these days). And now we find out the private encryption she used for her private e-mails could be hacked by a twelve year old. Fuck, she might has well have been CC’ing everything to Putin.

    • KG says:

I’m somewhat hopeful that this Administration will stick the knife in….it’s about all it’s good at.

      • Yokel says:

But as for archiving … surely all they need to do is ask the NSA/GCHQ complex? There must be a complete copy there that they can present to the nation, shouldn’t there?

The big news in Occupied America is that the dread fascist and crimninal Hildabeast has finally lost the support of the Progressive Democrat Ruling Class (Note the caps. The oligarchy is calling all the shots in the former Great Republic, so they get officially recognized by the Tea Party Movement rebels like me.)

Well, the Establishment never liked the bitch in the first place – Bill Clinton her husband and serial rapist they loved (BUT NOT HIS BITCH :!:) and are apparently tired of defending her. Also, never forget that the Ruling Class kicked the bitch to the curb back in 2008 for a little known black Senator from the Land of Lincoln. The smart money says the Progressive Democrat standard bearer – and very likely next elective dictator (Always assuming Obama steps down) well be a little known Democrat Senator from Massachusetts by the name of Elizabeth Warren, she who lied about her Indian ancestry and exposed everywhere EXCEPT of the official Leftist Media.

Of course, this has all been reported in detail by America’s anchorman on AM Talk Radio (NOTE: Limbaugh would have been murdered years ago by the Left like Andrew Breitbart, except for the fact that he is VERY serious about his security and lives in a fortress style compound on West Palm Beach, Florida. Also, Limbaugh keeps his travel plans top secret and travels to the airport in an armored limo. He flies on HIS own private plane guarded 24/7.)

      • Ronbo says:

Note to GW: Since when has the Left ever cared that one of theirs broke the law :?: THIS IS A LEFTIST PURGE OF HILLIARY CLINTON :!: Elizabeth Warren – the heir getting-more-apparent has said she won’t stand for president UNLESS the Hildabeast is taken out. So the Establishment is taking her out…and it is OFFICIAL – none other than Pravda, err. The New Times, is leading the Leftist Media charge :!:

There was a poll out yesterday that gauged married womens(the single biggest voting block next to white males) and they are down on Hillary.

          Apparently they don’t like an opportunistic,lying sociopath.http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_yahoo.gif

        • GW says:

It may end up that, but the story didn’t originate out of “left field.” It came out of Rep. Trey Gowdy’s committee investigating Benghazi. He’s doing it with a microscope. And how his committee found out about this is more than frightening. A hacker got into the Hildabeat’s personal accounts and exposed some of the documents.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the left turned this into a Hillary cannibal feast. But this is a story so huge that even died in the wool Hillary backers, such as fellow muff diver and MSNBC’s leading on-air personality Rachel Maddow, are finding it impossible to come up with any defense beyond, “well, maybe this doesn’t matter.”

    • Pascal says:

Who gives a rip at this point? Just as in ancient Rome there were people who said it was a fact being ignored for years if not decades.

So, essentially, this is our own First Triumvirate unveiling. And we have jumped from Marius to Caesar without passing through a period of the Sullan civil war. Too many pansies Ronbo.

      • Ronbo says:

….and to think when I was a soldier in Germany during the Cold War, I looked down my long nose at older Germans like my landlord who allowed highly civilized republican Germany fall into hands of nasty Nazi barbarians…

Werner was my landlord’s name and one Friday I got full of good Berlin beer and saw the old guy and his wife sitting in an outdoor café, not far from the apartment house, and buddy, I laid into the old guy in my best broken German and drill field sergeant English…

The locals were shocked, but afraid to confront an arrogant member of the American occupation in his dress uniform. Yes, I ripped old Werner a new asshole..I had just recently found out that he had not only been a Nazi, but a member of the dread SS and had served in Poland during WW II.

Yep, I ripped Hitler, the Third Reich, the genocide, WW II – You should have been there, I was awesome :!: RIGHTEOUS ANGER :!:

The Germans in café moved back from Werner and his elderly wife :!: I concluded my rant and rave by saying how much all elderly Germans disgusted me because they had voted for Hitler and loyally supported him for long twelve years :!:

Yes, I was the righteous Jesus running the money changers out of the temple :!: I didn’t have a bullwhip to beat the Berliners, but I discovered a half drank beer on an empty table and threw in Werner’s face that soaked both him and his wife, who begin to cry loudly — and I noticed Werner too was crying silently too, big tears flowing down his scared warrior’s face.

Werner had not said a word during my rant and rave in the warm Berlin summer of 1975, he just looked at me, but not in anger…. in pity.

I felt nothing but anger for the old Nazi :!: ….and I stormed out of the café and took up station just down the street waiting for him to start what I thought would be the inevitable fist fight.

No one came out…No police were called…and I begin to feel sober and deflated, so I went back to my apartment and crashed.

The next morning there was a timid knock on the door. It was old Gisela, Werner’s wife. I was stone cold sober by that time and begin to say how sorry I was the day before, but she cut me off to tell me that I was right about Hitler, the Nazis and WW II :!: ….that both she and Werner were cowards for not doing SOMETHING to stop Hitler and the Nazis….that Werner had been DRAFTED into SS in 1944 at age 16 and was a frontline soldier, who had been investigated by the American Army after WW II and found not guilty of war crimes.

Then the old lady concluded with tears rolling down her lined face, “What could we have done to stop Hitler :?: WE WERE LITTLE PEOPLE :!:

Today I’m the old man who does nothing against a rising Hitler-like Regime because I tell myself I can do nothing effective to stop Obama.

You see, I’m LITTLE PEOPLE :!:

        • Cadwallader says:

Thank you for this observation. I am grateful for your honesty. I suppose that if all the “little people” stood as one they would become “big” people? The difficulty in achieving this form of conjoined strength is the inevitable differences between the “little people” not founded on the fundamentals but rather on the peripheral issues such as vanities of leadership, vanities of effectiveness etc…in life I have encountered many people who hold strong and similar views but unfortunately trivia tends to divide them. Good luck to the US constitution and its few remaining adherents!

        • Wombat says:

          Powerful stuff.

I can’t imagine myself standing up against anything at age 16 much less Hitler.

        • Wombat says:

          I might add.

We have less reason today for failure to act.

At least the Germans could plead ignorance of anything much beyond their district.

We of the internet cannot make such a claim.
