    Nietzsche was right :!:

    History repeats itself :!:

Japan’s island hopping campaign of 1942 towards Australia and New Zealand :!:

Fortunately, the U.S. Navy Pacific Fleet is still out there…and who knows :?: It may still be the ally of our South Pacific cousins…although for the next 18 months at least, America seems to have switched sides in the Great Game.

    ….and vice versa :!:

    • KG says:

As well as building bases in the South China sea, China is about to “inherit” a whole lot of Pacific airstrips.
      Not looking good, is it?
Meanwhile, large Chinese immigration and property buys are crippling any chances of realistic defence decisions in NZ and Australia, as their economies become increasingly dependent on Chinese “business investments”.

  2. KG says:

A NZ Herald article this morning:
‘Rents in Auckland rise up to 10%
Tenants feel heat as population growth creates shortage of rental properties.’

    The headline should read:
“Massive influx of Chinese drives up house prices and rental costs”

  3. Redbaiter says:

No no, its all about land shortages….!!!!

Haven’t you been listening to Messrs Key and English?

    • KG says:

I gave up believing anything Key says when he supported the Klarkula in her bid for a U.N. post.
And I see no reason to change that. The rest of his lies and slithering evasions since have merely confirmed my original impression.

      • Cadwallader says:

Why does NZ remain in the UN? Perhaps this question ought be an “Open House” post. Seriously, what does the UN do? What has it achieved?

        • KG says:

It remains in the U.N. because nobody has asked the question of the people, Cadwallader. And because our politicians are too corrupt and spineless to ask the question anyway.
I didn’t sign up to be ruled by the U.N. and neither did any other taxpaying voter.

          • Cadwallader says:

I see those who oppose the TPPA use as part of their wailing that it will remove our national sovereignty….what sovereignty is that? The sovereignty we ceded to the UN almost 70 years ago perhaps?

  4. Wombat says:

Let’s not doubt that when/if a backlash occurs against the rising tide of Chinese immigration that the motherland won’t hesitate to use it as an opportunity to come to the aid of their wayward brethren.

Putin capitalised on just that situation recently, although the intervention was far more local.

Of course, we can expect no shortage of traitors in parliament willing to trade a sitting seat in parliament for a governorship.

    • Redbaiter says:

Pretty soon they will be the parliament. And even the Police Force. And the judiciary. Then these multi-culti mugs might wake up.

    • Odakyu-sen says:

I can’t believe Aucklanders would allow the ethnic makeup of their city to be modified so much, just for the sake of money. (Look on the bright side, you can’t accuse them of racism.)

Aucklanders would sell out the livelihood of their children, just so that they could cash up their house and retire in Tauranga (or somewhere else south of the Bombay Hills).

This is so pre-WWII…..Remember the Jap immigration to the South Pacific, Hawaii and the West Coast of the USA :?:
