    Exactly, saying that they commit terrible acts because of the vow of celibacy. Well, look at these people not under the vow of celibacy and see what they are doing, this includes parents.

    Of course the Vatican was at fault sweeping this under the carpet and shifting priests around or trying to handle this using canon law and all abusers should be prosecuted to the full extent of secular law. Other branches of Christianity are just as guilty.

    People entrusted to care for children need to undergo rigorous psychological screening and there needs to rules for conduct, i.e. no contact via social media, email and an open door policy if a meeting needs to be held – no little private tete-a-tetes
