        I have to disagree – America is allied to many Muslim countries like Egypt, Iraq and Jordan, who suffer more terrorist attacks by Jihadists than we do – also, Muslims are one-fifth of the world’s population.

        Yes, I know I’m reversing myself on this issue, but the simple fact is that most Muslims in America are peaceful – and many of them are in the USA for simple reason that as moderates they have been run out of many areas in the Middle East by the Jihadists.

        So what is to be done? It occurs to me that a wise government policy would be to encourage and fund a Reformation of Islam. This religion is 1.400 years old and the time has come for such an effort – and its doable. The president of Egypt no less said the same thing only a couple of years ago.

        The Islamic terrorists have proven themselves very good at using Western technology against us – I say use Islam against them! An excellent place to start would be the Mosques in the West – find out who the radical preachers are and remove them. Then we put in our people. The West is in an excellent position to start the Reformation of Islam – and we could help it spread in the Middle East by putting into power moderate Islamic regimes.

        Another front we do move on is a careful vetting of Muslims from the Middle East – those few allowed into the country – this terrorist in NYC came over on a Visa in 2010, which had expired and he should have been deported after six months. So not only do we have to carefully look at refugees and legal immigrants, but monitor closely Islamic tourists.

        A third front I’d move on were I the Attorney General or head of Homeland Security would be to build a network of uncover agents in the Muslim community. We did this in a small way after 9/11 while Bush was president and the FBI stopped countless terrorist actions before they took place. The Islamic community is the sea in which the Islamic terrorist swims – and for years it has been a very friendly sea, but Homeland Security could change that by flooding the “friendly sea” counter-terrorist fish – and once again we would have the ability to stop the terrorists before they strike – and terrorize them with the idea they have eyes on them 24/7.

        Finally, let’s take advantage of man’s lowest vice: GREED!

        Homeland Security could offer million dollar bribes for information leading to the arrest of potential terrorists. . Also, offer FBI protection and relocation for those bold souls who turn in terrorists.

          Sorry Ronbo, I don’t go along with that. The so-called peaceful moderate muslim is still anti Christian and anti west. So many surveys show their hatred and disdain for us, and you can bet your bottom dollar they are skewed toward moderatism and that the numbers are higher than shown because in such situations we all would tend to give appeasing answers.

          As for reforming islam, Ataturk managed to move his country toward modernity and look how short lived that is turning out to be. Egypt has a reformist president but I wonder how long he will last. Even Suaudi Arabia has indicated that they might take some timid steps by allowing women to drive but they still remain a misogynic death cult that wants to convert or subjugate all who are not like them.

              The West has tried that since about the 7th century A.D. – and have not been successful – likewise, Islam has made repeated attempts to conquer the West and failed.

              I content that Islamism as admitted defeat in that they no longer even think about sending regular military formation against the West, as was the case in their last great offensives by the Turks – as the West developed by the 18th century clear military superiority over Islamism.

              So today in what I think is the last great “go for broke offensive” Islamism has went small wars, terrorism, ideological and psychological warfare against the West….and to date they are winning this global “Battle of the Bulge” because the West is still using the same heavy handed direct military response that were successful in the past in defeating Islamism

              So what we have is a “Mexican standoff” in a Global contest that spans centuries….that saw a three hundred year maximum effort in the Crusades (1096 to 1300s) by the West to destroy Islam – and this ended with Crusaders running to the boats trying to escape the counter attacks.

              So let me ask you this, Darin: “How did we win the Cold War with Russia?”

              I will tell you,: because Reagan in 1981 decided on the offensive over the defense.

              This is what’s wrong with our present campaign – we play defense by talking immigration controls and banning refugees from the Middle East. Yes, every so often we send troops, planes and ships out on short campaigns – but overall the effort – the campaign against radical Islam – is spinning its wheels.

              My suggestion is the same that Reagan were he still alive and president would announce – Think Long War and do not limit your campaign to bombs and bullets – psychological operations are the most important – and there we are doing little or nothing.

              Like communism, Islamism is ideological, so the best way to fight an ideology is with a better ideology….Now I’m not saying we should back off on our military efforts – in fact – taking a cue from Reagan’s war against communism – we should beef it up – but we should put equal time and effort in the ideological war and the psychological war against Islamism.

              In other words, a Reagan-like offensive across the board – and hit the bastards from so many different directions they will find it impossible to defend, let alone take the offensive, and so long run they either give up or are killed.

          Islam is a political ideology as much as a religion. The violent conquest aspect is from the later writings which take precedent over the moderate earlier chapters of the Quran according to its own commandments. Therefore, there will always be violent adherents. Kindness, bribes, tolerance are all seen as weakness to be exploited. Make no mistake, many ‘moderates’ are practicing a conquering jihad, just not violent terrorism.

            There are some pretty violent passages in the Old Testament too….but modern day Christians and Jews don’t have a terrorist movement that tries to enforce those ancient hardline beliefs in the 21st century.

            The same thing could happen with Islam – In fact, the Europe, the USA and Canada have numerous Islamic scholars who in military terms have defused the bomb of jihad; however, they maintain a low profile because they have no protection from the Islamists even in Western countries.

            I’m not saying starting an Islamic Reformation – which prior to the 1970s – was happening among the general population of Muslims as many adopted Western dress and Islamic countries adopted secular law codes all over the the Middle East until the rise of Islamism forced the moderates and reformers to stand down in fear – is the whole answer, but it could be a major weapon system in the Long War against Islamism.

          Yeah, she wrote a book to CYA (Cover Your Assets) because she is worried the Special Prosecutor Mulehead may investigate her and she wants to influence a potential jury in her favor.

          “This is my story and I’m sticking to it.”

          However, I like the idea of a book laying out in detail from an insider how Obama and the Clintons stole millions of dollars from the DNC that resulted in the organization going bankrupt (and staying that way even today)

            I thought this little tidbit was particularly telling-
            “The agreement—signed by Amy Dacey, the former CEO of the DNC, and Robby Mook with a copy to Marc Elias — specified that in exchange for raising money and investing in the DNC, Hillary would control the party’s finances, strategy, and all the money raised. Her campaign had the right of refusal of who would be the party communications director, and it would make final decisions on all the other staff. The DNC also was required to consult with the campaign about all other staffing, budgeting, data, analytics, and mailings.”

            The bitch had the race rigged two years in advance that she and she alone would be the nominee.
