    https://www.foxnews.com/us/sat-to-use-adversity-score-for-students-applying-to-college

The College Board, which oversees the SAT exam used by most U.S. colleges during the admissions process, plans to introduce an “adversity score” which takes into consideration the social and economic background of every student.

The move is likely to reignite the debate over race and class in college admissions.

The new adversity score is being calculated using 15 factors, including the crime rate and poverty level from the student’s high school and neighborhood, The Wall Street Journal first reported.

Students won’t be privy to their scores but colleges and universities will see them when reviewing applications.

The Telegraph has published 2 articles on British involvement in “spygate”. This link is to the Epoch Times’ report on it. The Brits were were up to their necks in it and are obviously now trying to frame the narrative ahead of Trump declassifying relevant information. The take home message is that Brennan is a malicious arsehole who disseminated a dossier that he knew was fake around the spy agencies and governments of the Western world before Trump even knew about its existence. The other message is that Robert Hannigan and Brennan’s acolyte Christopher Steele need a midnight visit from the SAS and rendition to Guantanamo. Maybe the Saudis should offer Trump a hand…

I can’t help but think she is being retained in office as PM until Trump declassifies the truth of the extent of the British spy agencies’ involvement in the Russia hoax.

    POSTING THIS AS A REMINDER.

When one sees the corporate media outright encouraging violence against those who disapprove of ruling class policies, one is forced to recognize that the ruling class has run out of legitimate argument.

It would be an error on one’s part to allow them to sneak the Carl von Clausewitz tactic past one. What’s that? In short: War is a continuation of politics by other means.

“WAR IS A MERE CONTINUATION OF POLICY BY OTHER MEANS. We see, therefore, that War is not merely a political act, but also a real political instrument, a continuation of political commerce, a carrying out of the same by other means.”

I lack the energy of youth. I simply retain a long memory and some ability to put together pieces of a puzzle to see a picture.

I do not pretend to know enough tell anyone what they must do.

Stumbled upon this headline from 2014: “Did NSA blackmail Roberts to OK Obamacare?”

“But let’s take this possibility: Why did Chief Justice Roberts at the eleventh hour change his decision? He was going to side with the other justices and find that Obamacare was unconstitutional. Is it something that was dug up on him by the NSA or the CIA? Was that used against him to blackmail him?

“These are the kinds of things [the government is doing], and that’s why it’s so scary what’s going on with the NSA and the CIA. It can happen in a democracy. So that may help explain it, and perhaps we can reach these issues through the NSA cases that we brought, the NSA/CIA cases. I intend to get the truth on this.”

The whole interview reads as if none of us less well known bloggers and commentators ever discussed it on the day Roberts flipped or anytime since.

And what these two established “members of the right” fail to point out is ONCE BLACKMAILERS HAVE TURNED A TARGET OF BLACKMAIL TO DO ONE THING HE IS AVAILABLE FOR DOING WHATEVER THE BLACKMAILERS WANT HIM TO DO UNTIL THE DAY HE DIES.

And Kavanaugh’s behavior suggests much of the same. Heck, “if it worked before, let’s try and make it work as many times as possible. Let’s float crazy charges against him so that the real dirt isn’t discovered, and then after confirmation we can blackmail him like we did Roberts. He’ll be so worn out he’ll cave easier.”

So the effects are still ongoing and nobody in DOJ or any part of the swamp is doing anything about it! Quelle surprise.

How quickly the USA became its nemesis.

      • Pascal says:

That’s an excellent point mawm. The weakness of man is how easily he can grow arrogant about whatever he is most proud. Hubris invites Nemesis.

We here at CR can easily see the faults in the power hungry, faults that it seems huge numbers of our neighbors either refuse to see and hear or, even likely among smarter ones, fear to admit knowledge of. But what about the little guy’s faults too?

Americans have been overly proud of their liberties. Compare them to most heirs to a fortune. Each lacks any real exposure to the hard work and sacrifices that made their current status possible, and take it for granted. “Gratitude? For what? In fact those old autocrats wouldn’t let me do what I can do today.” There’s where Nemesis creeps in mawm. The ungrateful wealthy (wastrels) or free (libertines) must learn the hard way, and then it’s way too late.

      • Pascal says:

Everyone I know in Los Angeles has endured major changes to their work schedules and arrangements. Even me, and I’m retired. The world has changed and not for the better. Globalism is showing its ugliness here.

There was once an idealistic view in Americans that the whole world could have it as well as we have it here. What they didn’t anticipate was resentments fanned by Progs — don’t raise others, drag everyone down in the name of equality. The result is the conditions everywhere else are turning up in the USA. For instance, the homeless encampments here make L.A. look like Rio did 40 years ago. Worse. Rio had less pestilence.

        • Darin says:

“Americans have been overly proud of their liberties. Compare them to most heirs to a fortune.”

I call them lottery winners,as in most lottery winners have the money dropped in thier laps and a few years later end up broke again.

As Americans we have become addicted to an instant culture.Everything we think we need or want is availible to us 24/7/365 and frankly most of us don’t deserve it.

We have all this and the people who make it all possible are mistreated and denigrated in the media and treated as second or third class citizens.

I was standing inlne at the local grocery the otherday and over heard the woman infront of me running her mouth about what horrible human beings truckdrivers are.
This irritated me,not just because the ignorant cunt didn’t realise how the stuff in her basket got to the store, but also because my brother is a truckdriver and has been working himself into an early grave for the last 30 years doing so.All so people like her could have the convienience of having everything they want at thier fat fingertips anytime day or night.
So I informed her of her stupidity,a waste of time on my part, since she just stood there with that deer in the headlights look, with her pea sized brain being more dense than tungsten carbide.
The older I get,the more I think everyone should spend sometime either primitive camping for a couple weeks or living in a mud hut for awhile.Maybe then we would be a little more thankful for what we have and a little more considerate of the people who provide it.
When I was a kid,in my town most businesses if they were open on Saturday, were oly open half a day.On Sunday very few business were open, usually just a couple gas stations and resturants.People had time to decompress and had time to spend with family and relax. Now,everything is a 24 hour a day grind and I don’t think it’s either healthy,or dare I say it-sustainable.

I love that Theodore Dalrymple quote-“The British (insert western nation here) are barbarians camped out in the relics of an older and superior civilization to whose beauties they are oblivious.”

          • Pascal says:

We have all this and the people who make it all possible are mistreated and denigrated in the media and treated as second or third class citizens.

The media are merely tools of the overlording ones, the Progs and the corporate oligarchs that have aided that movement from its inception. Their aim has been to soften the masses in the manner you reported on, being totally disconnected to the supply chain (what communist thought would eradicate) they’d be lost without. A once free people enslaved being the long goal of the power seekers and their allies in the death cults.

I’ll be back later with a link that fills in more than you can imagine on your notion about all being better off having the experience “primitive camping for a couple weeks or living in a mud hut for awhile.”

The guy who wrote the book you’ll learn about here http://www.shemitta.com/
is a real expert at restoring land, painstakingly removing exotic species so plants native to the region can recover. In it he makes the case that the biblical command to observe a sabbath for the land actually directed people to do much more than what you suggested.

The command has traditionally been understood and practiced to let the land rest and lie fallow. He says the literal meaning of the command is to release the land from production and to abandon it.

Instead they were to live in the surrounding countryside for the one year out of every seven, eating what food stores has been hidden away for the sabbath year plus foraging.

It not only did what you suggested, but it provided for a national defense. It was how the few Maccabees were able to defeat the Selucid Greeks. There was no food on the land to feed the Greek army, and the Maccabees held the high, rough terrain. Vande Pol does a nice job figuring out how it was done. Pretty cool pre-planned guerilla defense system.

That sort of thing is so far a cry from anything in our modern experience that it’s a bloody shame nobody in our time ever adopted the pattern.
