Failed ministry has highest pay rates
The future of some government ministries is again in the spotlight after damning reviews of both the ministries of women’s and Pacific Island affairs.
A State Services Commission report identified poor policy, limited skills, high overheads and a heavy reliance on bigger agencies.
Despite the report, those working for Pacific Island Affairs were, on average, paid almost $20,000 more than other public sector workers…..

Reviewers criticised the management, work culture, financial management and policy advice of the agency, but did express confidence in the leadership..’
Read that last line again. And tell me what the word “leadership” is supposed to mean.

    All this money down the drain. To promote languages that aren’t recognised and encourage a high turnover of (overpaid) second-tier (overestimating, me-thinks) wimins.
    Every payday this will be added to the Buddhist Prayer-Wheel that revolves in my strained, damaged, exasperated little mind.
