‘1000 police in weekend booze bust

A 12-hour police operation targeting alcohol-related crime this weekend resulted in less than one percent of drivers stopped at checkpoints being over the limit, although the number of retailers selling alcohol to minors was a disappointment, say police.
The trans-Tasman campaign, named Operation Unite, ran from 6pm on Friday to 6am Saturday. More than 1000 police officers and 200 staff from partner agencies such as health, ACC, councils and Maori Wardens took part nationwide.
Police Acting Assistant Commissioner Win Van der Velde said it was pleasing only 186 of 31,777 drivers stopped and tested for alcohol were over the limit. (so the massive operation was a bloody failure. kg)

It persists because the left sees in islam an ally in their project to dismantle Western civilisation and re-make it in their own warped image of Utopia, it persists because politicians see the “war on terror” (but not islam) as a convenient diversion from the need for reform and because it gives undreamed-of opportunities for control, because we in the West rely on Saudi oil, because the media are no more than mouthpieces for the leftist worldview.
But most of all it persists because we–we the people–have become uninformed, lazy, apathetic cowards, afraid to swim upstream against the prevailing narratives for fear of endangering our comfortably numb lifestyles.
The West we knew is dying, dying of neglect and cowardice and appeasement.

‘Students tear strips off Gaza aid planners

A group aiming to deliver aid to Israeli-blockaded Gaza was caught in its own war of words at Waikato University this week.
Kia Ora Gaza aims to deliver humanitarian aid to Palestinians on September 18 with what they claim will be the “biggest international land-sea aid convoy since World War II”.
The convoy, including six Kiwis, will deliver mainly medical aid and building supplies to Gaza.
Members of the group were invited to hold a fundraising meeting on campus by the Waikato University Muslim Club, which sent an email to inform people of the discussion to be held on Wednesday.
Attached to the email was a release from Kia Ora Gaza stating: “Israel is the most powerful military state in the Middle East, and has been doing as it pleases. So we haven’t been able to do much while hundreds of children, women, men and the elderly get killed, raped and violated on a daily basis.”
Waikato University Students for Religious and Ethnic Harmony took exception to the words and member Simon Gray described it as “hate preaching”.
Tempers flared as audience members questioned the points made by presenters. A question and answer session was dominated by people questioning Kia Ora Gaza methods and motives.
………Muslim club president Moataz Bahr was visibly stunned by the passion and anger aroused by the meeting.
“I not see that coming,” he said.’
