The Arctic ocean is warming up, icebergs are growing scarcer and insome places the seals are finding the water too hot, according to areport to the Commerce Department yesterday from Consulafft, at Bergen, Norway. Reports from fishermen, seal hunters and explorers all point to a radical change in climate conditions and hitherto unheard-of temperatures in the Arctic zone. Exploration expeditions report that scarcely any ice has been met as far north as 81 degrees
29 minutes. Soundings to a depth of 3,100 meters showed the gulfstream still very warm. Great masses of ice have been replaced by moraines of earth and stones, the report continued, while at many points well known glaciers have entirely disappeared.

Very few seals and no white fish are found in the Eastern Arctic, while vast shoals of herring and smelts which have never before ventured so far North, are being encountered in the old seal fishing
grounds. Within a few years it is predicted that due to the ice melt the sea will rise and make most coastal cities uninhabitable.

Of all the grotesquely irresponsible claims made about a madman’s shooting of congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, this must rank among the very worst:
Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton labeled Arizona shooter Jared Lee Loughner an “extremist” while taping a town hall segment for a talk show in Abu Dhabi today.
Her remarks came during her trip through the Middle East, where she is working to build relationships with leaders in the region. Indeed, Clinton seemed to use the word to encourage collaboration among Arab countries and the U.S. to eradicate extremism everywhere.
“Look, we have extremists in my country,” Clinton said. “A wonderful, incredibly brave young woman Congress member, Congresswoman Giffords was just shot in our country. We have the same kinds of problems. So rather than standing off from each other, we should work to try to prevent the extremists anywhere from being able to commit violence.”
It’s clear that Clinton was at one level equating a lone and universally reviled madman, acting from some crazed concern for bad grammar and a “third currency”, with organised international terrorist groups drawing inspiration from a popular jihadist ideology. She also drew a moral equivalence not just between the US and the Middle East, but, between the US Right wing and terrorist groups such as al Qaeda.

‘Seven face court over Bendigo rape

Four men and three boys have been charged with raping a woman at Bendigo in central Victoria.
Mohammad Zaoli, 21, Aru Gar, 19, and Mohammad El Nour and Akoak Manon, both 18 years old, are each facing 17 offences including counts of rape and assault.

Then bury the remains, wrapped in pigskin. Then hunt down every fucking muslim and deport them to a remote island.
