‘It is not about Loughner or Palin, its about the Republic
….This is not about Jared Loughner or Sarah Palin anymore. This is a naked display of hostility towards America by traitors who have conspired to destroy the Republic from within. Recent widespread attacks on the Constitution have confirmed it. These traitors are asking that “the violent rhetoric” be stopped. There never was any violent rhetoric, except from them.
Roger Ailles (FOX News owner) asked that his presenters tone down the rhetoric. He’s wrong. Completely wrong. Because he is allowing traitors to frame the debate. The truth is there needs to be much more said and its needs to be said louder and it needs to be directed at those who are leading the campaign to close down political debate in order to destroy the Republic.’
‘The Arizona Tragedy and the Politics of Blood Libel’
‘Those who purport to care about the tenor of political discourse don’t help civil debate when they seize on any pretext to call their political opponents accomplices to murder.
By GLENN HARLAN REYNOLDS
Shortly after November’s electoral defeat for the Democrats, pollster Mark Penn appeared on Chris Matthews’s TV show and remarked that what President Obama needed to reconnect with the American people was another Oklahoma City bombing. To judge from the reaction to Saturday’s tragic shootings in Arizona, many on the left (and in the press) agree, and for a while hoped that Jared Lee Loughner’s killing spree might fill the bill….’
Crosshairs? How about bullseyes?
‘Some are wondering if incendiary rhetoric on progressive website Daily Kos is responsible for the weekend shooting that left six dead and Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.) critically injured.
Just days ago, the far left website posted a column — since removed — slamming the conservative Democrat. The author said Giffords was “dead to me” in the post’s title and comments….’ source
Leftoids–liars, cheats and hypocrites.
R.I.P. Maj. Richard Winters
The U.S. officer whose quiet leadership was the central theme in TV’s Band of Brothers has died aged 92.
Major Richard ‘Dick’ Winters’ World War II career was chronicled in a book of the same name. He died in central Pennsylvania on January 2. Mr Winters became the leader of Company E, 506th Regiment, 101st Airborne Division on D-Day after his company commander died during the invasion of Normandy. source
A Belmont Club commenter says it well:
‘Godspeed.
It was a comfort knowing Major Winters was still with us. The world seems colder as those who have been “on point” all my life fade away, leaving only us to cover for the generations that follow.’
propaganda WORKS:
From Tim Blair:
‘..Meanwhile, a poll at the Australian ABC asks:
Is America’s right-wing political ‘hate speak’ responsible for the Arizona massacre?
More than 75 per cent vote yes.’
Here we go……’never let a crisis go to waste’
‘Gun-control laws may be introduced to Congress after shooting of Gabrielle Giffords
A US politician plans to introduce gun control laws to Congress following the shooting in Arizona that killed six people and left one of her colleagues in a critical condition.
Democratic Congresswoman Carolyn McCarthy, from New York, told Politico she could introduce gun-control laws, possibly within the next 24 hours.
The bill could target the high-powered assault weapon allegedly used by Jared Loughner in the Tuscon shooting, in which he fired up to 20 rounds. The victims included a nine-year-old girl and a senior judge.
…America is reeling from the shooting which has sparked debate about whether Loughner may have been at least partly inspired by inflammatory political rhetoric from conservative leaders such as Sarah Palin. It has also kick-started a debate about gun control…’ source (Australian news source “staff writers”)
Any Republican who supports this opportunistic bullshit needs to be served notice that they’ll be out on their ear come the next election.
NZ’s incestuous lefty media
‘..The editor of the Sunday Star-Times is David Kemeys. Of his 53 friends, he has a plethora of Labour MPs and other lefties”
“One of his only two fan pages is of Phil Goff. His friends include Labour MPs Jacinda Ardern, Ashraf Choudhary, Phil Goff, Sua William Sio, David Cunliffe and Shane Jones plus Labour candidates Conor Roberts and Neelam Choudhary as well as Len Brown.” source
And Kiwis still think these birdcage liners are selling real news!
