This kind of thing happens with depressing frequency in New Zealand. I lost track of the number of such incidents–often accompanied by rape and robbery -during 2010.  NZ is not a place where it’s safe to park a camper van on the side of the road or in a reserve at night. One of the things I was most struck by on my return to Australia was the lower levels of awareness and security necessary here. Of course that’s merely anecdotal, but I sure as hell can tell the difference. The simple truth is that NZ is a violent, crime-ridden little country and most Kiwis seem to be either numb to it or in denial.

GENERAL:
1. Never take a beer to a job interview.
2. Always identify people in your yard before shooting them.
3. It’s tacky to take an esky to church.
4. If you have to vacuum the bed, it’s time to change the sheets.
5. Even if you’re certain you’re included in the will, it’s rude to take the trailer to the funeral home.
DINING OUT:
1. When decanting wine from the box, tilt the paper cup and pour slowly so as not to “bruise” the wine.
2. If drinking directly from the bottle, hold it with both your hands.

‘Top detective blasts ‘culture of silence’ that allows Asian sex gangs to groom  white girls… because police and social services fear being branded racist

Police and social services were today accused of fuelling a culture of silence which has allowed hundreds of young white girls to be exploited by Asian men for sex.
New figures suggest that an alarmingly high proportion of prosecutions for on-street grooming of girls aged between 11 and 16 have involved men of Pakistani heritage.
Experts claim the statistics represent a mere fraction of a ‘tidal wave’ of offending in counties across the Midlands and the north of England which has been going on for more than a decade.
….Charities and agencies working in conjunction with the police to help victims of sexual abuse in such cases have publicly denied there is a link between ethnicity and the on-street grooming of young girls by gangs and pimps.

But in 17 court cases since 1997 where groups of men were prosecuted, 53 of the 56 people found guilty were Asian, 50 of them Muslim, while just three were white, according to The Times…’                       source

Most support for the left comes from women. Most support for insane health and safety laws comes from women…the list goes on. Sometimes I think that the vast majority of women are afraid of the risks and costs of liberty and in chasing the mythical goal of perfect safety and security they’re willing to give away any freedom, any autonomy as sovereign individuals. But that’s a whole other subject..

Supposing you had some money in the bank in a little country which is being mismanaged by a pack of crypto-socialists..the value of that currency is dropping steadily.  Double-digit inflation as well as a government grab of your savings are very real possibilities.
What to do?
(oh, and since we’re not lawyers here let’s not get too hung up on those technicalities, eh?)

‘STAFF numbers in Mike Rann’s Department of Premier and Cabinet have risen by more than 500 since 2005.
The number of bureaucrats directly employed in Mr Rann’s department has increased from 637 full-time equivalent positions to 1158. The number of staff earning above $80,000 is 325, compared to 46 people earning above $89,000 five years ago.

‘Former Christchurch gang leader Darryl Harris will lose the sickness benefit he has claimed for 26 years.
Ministry of Social Development chief executive Peter Hughes said Harris had been told that his sickness benefit would stop from January 10 because “he no longer meets standard eligibility requirements”.
…..Harris, who has three months to appeal against the decision, and his wife, Marcia Robins, made headlines a year ago when The Press revealed they had been claiming unemployment and sickness benefits continuously since 1984.
They had received $30,000 in special-needs grants since 2000, including payments for new tyres for their 2007 Chrysler saloon and to fence a swimming pool at one of their Christchurch properties.
…….Efforts to cancel Harris’ sickness benefit failed after he obtained a medical opinion that he was addicted to cannabis. The opinion was from one of Work and Income’s designated doctors after the agency appealed against a medical opinion that Harris was suffering “stress and anxiety” over being work-tested.’ source

I hardly know where to begin….this kind of thing fills me with rage. These pieces of shit–and their bureaucrat and politician enablers–are perfectly comfortable with the idea of working taxpayers as slaves. It’s not just money they’re stealing. They are stealing hours of people’s lives to fund this filthy outrage. And this is no isolated case–the same thing is happening all over New Zealand.
