Someone should mail that one to Hone Harawira!
Get me his email addy and I will.
Hone.harawira@parliament.govt.nz
done.
I’m sure he’ll enjoy it.
Oh you’re just a racist white motherfucker. You probably did that vid yourself with a robe and some food-colouring on your face. Everyone knows the black man gave the world everything worthwhile, from polygamy to daughter-slaughter. You raaaaccciiiissstttt.
p.s. Please post verbatim any reply received from the (dis)hon Hatfield.
Amen, Brother!
At last someone is recognising that Mandela is a fraud………a very rich fraud.
The Mandela story never ceases to amaze me. It’s gotta be one of the most successful whitewashes (/pun) in history!
I find it amazing the number of people who agree SA has turned into a total shithole since it was turned over to the ANC, but who worship Mandela and make excuses for the rampage which has ensued since he got his hands on the keys to the executive bathroom.
Exactly the same people who make exactly the same excuses for Mugabe. Unfuckingbelievable.
Totally O/T….
We’re sitting drinking cold beer, looking out over the Coral Sea in the middle of a wild electrical storm. And the moon came up blood-red about an hour ago, over the ocean.
Pure magic.
There are times when being old and poor just don’t matter a damn.
Sounds like heaven! It pissed down all night here last night and there was a little bit of lightning out over the Dandenong Ranges, but nothing as picturesque or poetic as you just described.
It’s a different world, Gantt. And several lifetimes wouldn’t be enough to take it all in.
Haiti was the first independent nation in Latin America and the first black-led republic in the world when it gained independence as part of a successful slave revolution in 1804.
Haiti is the poorest country in the Americas as per the Human Development Index. It has experienced political violence throughout its history. Most recently, in February 2004, an armed rebellion forced the resignation and exile of previous President Jean-Bertrand Aristide, and a provisional government took control with security provided by the United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH). Michel Martelly, the current president, was elected in the Haitian general election, 2011.

And Haiti is also night and day different from the Dominican Republic which it shares the Island with.
RACIST!!!!!
well, yes, he is–but he’s got a point or two.
“I find it amazing the number of people who agree SA has turned into a total shithole since it was turned over to the ANC, but who worship Mandela and make excuses for the rampage which has ensued since he got his hands on the keys to the executive bathroom…Exactly the same people who make exactly the same excuses for Mugabe… ”
New Zealand is now a magnet for white African “refugees” (though nobody calls them that, of course
) , and I have friends among them. Interestingly, at least one I know was against apartheid (and campaigned against it), but tells me he also knew that, post-apartheid, Africa would turn out as it now has…
As a native of Auckland’s North Shore I too have known many refugees from SA, Wakey. And you’re right, almost to a man they agree the apartheid system was “wrong” but the transfer of power has destroyed their once-beautiful country.
Much like the transfer of power into “Maori” hands will ultimately do to New Zealand.
Wakey – in the 40-odd years of institutionalised separatism (Apartheid) the National Party, who were the authors of it, received a majority vote on 2 occasions. Gerrymandering and the urban/rural district imbalance ensured they had a majority of the seats in Parliament for those 40 years. So I’m always amazed that people outside of South Africa are surprised to find that there are South Africans who were against Apartheid. However not many of them wanted to hand their country over to the murderous Marxist ANC.
Agonising over apartheid versus the dismantling of an advanced culture was always the white man’s dilemma, our culture being nuanced enough to consider such problems as “problems”.
Blacks are somewhat more – how shall I put it ? – black and white in their solutions.
“I find it amazing the number of people who agree SA has turned into a total shithole since it was turned over to the ANC, but who worship Mandela and make excuses for the rampage…”
As long as Africa remains tribal, this will be the situation. Thabo Mbeki was even worse than Mandela, whil Zuma is about as primitive as you can get and still wear a suit and tie.
I’m not quite sure what you mean by ‘tribal’. There are 13 different languages in SA and people identify themselves as being of a group/tribe usually based on their language, eg Zulu, Xosa, Afrikaner, etc. The ANC hierarchy used to be Xosa, eg Mandela, Mbeki and Sisulu, and they made a leap of faith in selecting Zuma, a Zulu, in the hope that they could get the Zulu vote which had traditionally gone to the Inkatha Party, a Zulu nationalist party.
At present there is no tribal violence, although (non-political) factional violence is endemic in some rural areas and there has been a lot of violence against immigrants from other African countries who are perceived to either take the jobs or be responsible for crime.
“I’m not quite sure what you mean by tribal” .
That’s okay, if you want to remain wilfully blind to the tribal underpinnings of African politics, you saty that way .
“At present there is no tribal violence,”
Of course there is(n’t) – the threat is enough. How do you think the unbelievably incompetent Mbeki became/remained President? Sheesh.
Wakey – the SA president is elected by the ANC executive, not the public. The incompetant Mbeki, who was always considered a Marxist intellectual by the ANC, remained president because he kept his cronies in the ANC happy by allowing them to pilfer the public purse.
I’m not wilfully blind to the part tribalism plays in African politics eg Murgabe and his killing of the Ndebele leadership, the Hutu’s and Tutsis, etc, but in South Africa it is not part of the political scenery. The problems in SA are the tripartite agreement between the ANC, the unions (COSATU) and the South African Communist Party. It certainly brings out the best of an African Marxist Kleptocracy.
Exactly.
Wakey, you brought a knife to a gunfight there.
Hmm, I must remember to do it the other way round next time
I still say that tribalism underpins all of it – the very language (“…The ANC hierarchy used to be Xosa, eg Mandela, Mbeki and Sisulu, and they made a leap of faith in selecting Zuma, a Zulu, in the hope that they could get the Zulu vote …” etc etc) says so.
..used to be..
Now the factionalism is between the Marxists, Lenninists and Trotskyites……..or maybe between those handing contracts to family members that are not at arms length (eg Zuma), the tendrepaneurs (a new word for those who earn lots and lots of lolly tendering for government contracts, collecting the money and never doing the job, eg Malema) or those that got the lions share of businesses that were handed to them so that the colour match in the industry was suitable (eg Mandela).
They are all too busy buying Armani, BMW’s and partying on the public account to worry about whatever their roots were.
They don’t “worry” about their roots, they simply act according to them; THINKING about this is the white man’s prerogative.
