2. A prediction–China will indulge in some sabre-rattling, and Western politicians will fall over themselves to appease them with Western money and concessions, North Korea style.
   It will only stop when the West has been neutered and bled dry.
   How much of NZ’s export earnings come from China?

4. As I’ve said so often: long before China becomes a “threat” to anyone else, it will implode from its own inner contradictions.

   • China is already a threat. Africa, aiding Iran etc. Burma.

     • I still think China’s own reality will catch up with it sooner than anyone (the Chinese included) expects: massive poverty, massive gender imbalance, human rights abuses, dictatorship, government corruption, etc etc…all the excursions/incursions into Africa etc are sitting on a very shaky foundation.
