‘Internet warning over Turangi attack accused

A senior law professor is warning websites and Facebook users they must not publish the name of the teenager accused in connection with the Turangi attack on a five-year-old girl.
….The Government was looking at how to regulate the internet, and its approach with suppression was to realise it was not possible to get rid of everything.
….With Youth Court the general concept was that young people had to be given as much opportunity as possible to turn their lives around, Cheer said.’
CR will not name the accused. But the moment the accused becomes the convicted (if he does) we sure as hell will name him. You may bet on it. What’s with the “turn their lives around” crap? This feelgood idea is gambling with other people’s safety, with no personal consequences if they get it wrong. What’s more, the victims of these pigs don’t get the opportunity to turn their lives around. The chances of this piece of shit ever becoming a useful human are vanishingly small and in any case, society is entitled to exact vengeance for the enormous harm done. The scope and scale of that vengeance shouldn’t be solely the “right” of lawyers and effing bureaucrats to decide–that road has already brought us to where we are today.
Interesting comment she makes, too, about “the government is looking at how to regulate the internet”.
I bet the bastards are.

  1. KG says:

If any of our regular readers have the name, please email it to me. If this creep is found guilty we’ll put it up in large red letters minutes later.

  2. erikter says:

The suspect appears on the tanned side, so he could be a savage native.

  3. Jay says:

Regulate the internet? Sent these morons to a communist state where they belong. The internet’s information is free and global, that’s what they fear the most.

The scum will probably be free to go after a couple of years (likely to commit more crimes against the innocent), but the girl has to live with disgusting attack for the rest of her life. Where is the justice in that Ms Professor?

I don’t know the name, but the pic over at WO’s on this matter is only covering the face.

  4. Brooding Log Cabin Nutter says:

    Wish I could help KG.

In a civilised society as far as I’m aware, the police and system of justice are supposed to operate on ours – each individual member of the population’s – behalf under delegated authority from each one of us simply because we are too busy doing other things. Same with the collection of our rubbish and all those sorts of services covered by taxes and rates. When these rent-seeking public servants and lawyers on their hugely inflated salaries and perks have the f*cking gall to start telling US – and I’m talking individual victims of crime here – what we can and can’t do, it’s time to either get rid of, or go round the f*ckers. I wouldn’t be surprised to discover if not now, in the near future, some private means being available to victims of crime like this little girls parents so they can obtain their own justice on perverted perps like this sixteen year old. After he’s been convicted of course. And though they’ll deny it – on public pay – until they’re blue in the face, it will all be down to the slimy lawyers and other justice department hangers on who’ve undermined the system for their own self-serving and greedy Marxist ends.

    • KG says:

      Yes, exactly BLCN.
Unless things change, we will begin to see private “contractors” doing what the law won’t……
      Where are the Harry Browns?

      • Brooding Log Cabin Nutter says:

Ahhh, My old mate Maurice Micklewhite in his dotage!

He plays an amateur in the film though KG. I was thinking more along the lines of that British Army sniper who took out an Al Quieda fighter from several miles away with a head shot earlier this year after doing the appropriate calculations and having to aim his specialist weapon a couple of meters above the target to allow for wind and the gravitational pull on the projectile etc.

  5. His white t-shirt looks quite distinctive.
I bet a few will recognise him from that.

  6. Darin says:

That is something I have never agreed with, hiding the identity of juvenile perps. They managed adult crimes they should manage adult consequences.Robbery, assault, rape and murder are crimes not committed lightly there is no way in hell they should be punished lightly.
If he’s found guilty he should have PLENTY of time behind bars to “turn his life around” preferably with his new 300lb friend Bubba

So far as identity,if found guilty front page headlines including picture.

  7. CR says:

As a once proud Maori, I am not surprised or even upset at the racial fervour that this piece of 16 year old Turangi shit has created. I cant deny that this is a Maori problem. It is. The numbers dont lie and we have serious problems with our culture. For every successful and culturally aware Maori like myself. There are two welfare dependent, treaty “victims” popping out these animals.

    • Brooding Log Cabin Nutter says:

With the greatest respect to you and your Maori culture, can I suggest that the only way you’re going to get your pride back is to get rid of all ‘professional’ Maori in the NZ Parliament – and twats like Chris Finlayson – and those who have otherwise taken it upon themselves to represent you, usually on public money of course, stand on your own two feet and seek out people from among your own who the rest of us – and we long to do so – can see speak genuinely from the heart and who we can in turn can have respect for. It’s too late now for most of them have died, but I think particularly of all those noble old souls who made up the Maori Battalion but therein lies a clue, we are one Country.
As with native peoples everywhere – aborigine, native American, etc – it’s stating the obvious I know, but once you start taking the white mans shilling he takes your soul. That applies to all, even the white people of this Country as well of course, who are reduced to seeking government assistance when that self-same government’s incompetence and sinister manipulations end up with them being thrown out of work.

    • Kris K says:

Just for the record, CR, and many regulars know this already, I too am part Maori.

And I long for “successful and culturally aware Maori” to take a stand and acknowledge the greater reality as you just have.

No one here is saying this is all Maori, but the stats don’t lie and Maori are well and truly over-represented in violent and sexual crimes in NZ.

      Thanks for your honesty.

  8. Flashman says:

    “senior law professor”

    That says it all.

You can be sure that the soft-handed, bookish professor cheer’s [what a name!] social arc and feral “young people” up on charges of GBH, criminal assault, rape and pedophilia exist on opposite ends of the Cosmos.

  9. Katie says:

I would suggest a font easy on the eyes and letter sized 64.

Red works well too as does bold.
