The upcoming United Nations environmental conference on sustainable development will consider  a breathtaking array of carbon taxes, transfers of trillions of dollars from wealthy countries to poor ones, and new spending programs to guarantee that populations around the world are protected from the effects of the very programs the world organization wants to implement, according to stunning U.N. documents examined  by Fox News.
The main goal of the much-touted, Rio + 20 United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development, scheduled to be held in Brazil from June 20-23, and which Obama Administration officials have supported,  is to make dramatic and enormously expensive changes  in the way that the world does nearly everything—or, as one of the documents puts it, “a fundamental shift in the way we think and act.”..’
In other words, a naked take-over of national sovereignty, making all of us subservient to an unelected bunch of bureaucrats. Our governments have signed up to this and they’ve already bound us to a vast array of UN regulations and agreements, in most cases without even bothering to inform us.This is creeping slavery and nobody ought to vote for any politician without first making them state in crystal-clear terms where they stand on this.
Support for the UN necessarily means betrayal of the people.

    The UN and their spawn are the enemy.

    To paraphase the Gipper…… “I’m from the UN and I’m here to help…” will lead to the destruction of the West and continuing expansion of the useless third world, forever growing in numbers and forever requiring to be fed, clothed and housed.

    Yes mawm, but with the destruction of the West, who will continue to do the feeding, clothing and housing. Don’t forget, when the tax slaves are all worn out, and they are pretty near that now, the burden will fall on the left, that would be the parasite class and the elites, both of whom are very generous with other peoples money, but notoriously frugal of their own; however, at that point the elites and their buddies will have no power base with which to mount a secure defense, after all, it’s not as if they have an excess of sons to send in to do battle on their behalf, even if they were so inclined; after all, many of their potential progeny they have willfully aborted… Oops. And on top of that the replacement population brought in by those same elites, having been endlessly nurtured in their own grievance mongering, and sense of entitlement, and soon to be in the majority, will simply see a whole load of targets of easy opportunity…oh dear!

    Well, when the West goes, they can always turn to the Chinese, not sure that would work out too well though… they have tried and tested methods for dealing with trouble makes and dissenters.

    As to the thrust of the main article, the redistribution of wealth, and wealth meaning in this sense, money, well our moral and intellectual betters will resort to the same game they have been playing with us…..simply print more and more worthless bits of paper, with its inevitable consequence of rampant inflation, which even that bastion of mendacity, the mighty BBC will be unable to hide for long. With inflation at 1.5% per the the authorized state mouthpiece, and yet a bag of groceries beyond the means of the majority, as in that paradise known as Zimbabwe….even the thick will eventually cotton on.

    So, who is going to come to the aide of the last remnants of the Western world, the Saudi princes, the African kleptocrats, the starving masses of that impoverished third world, who incidentally hate the white mans guts, (largely due to the endless drumbeat of the self loathing classes of academia and the media). No, our betters will finally learn that it is unwise to continually piss on the majority of their own peoples, even if they do hold them in contempt. History is littered with tale of lost civilizations, why did they fail(?), maybe something our betters should learn about, but then our rulers don’t do history, a boring subject, beneath their dignity, and besides, what it teaches gets in the way of the road to Utopia.

    You can never take your eyes off those pricks at the UN. They never tire of pushing people around and taking our money. In a way I think most people are far more sensitive to their shenanigans. That shame-on-you-rich-westerners spiel may have worked a few years ago when many had money and jobs were around. Not anymore, that’s all changed now and I think more are waking up to the fact that all these bastards are always pushing the same crap, more taxing, it’s always our fault and more taxes are the solution.

      Perhaps sheer economic reality will hit before their agenda can be implemented, RWT. If Tony Abbott’s comments are any guide, the ground is shifting under them. Too slowly, but shifting nonetheless.

    I was going to post this on Redbaiter’s site – I wanted somewhere appropriate to post a rant that came to me. He’s recommending this site while he’s too busy to blog.
    The Watermelon, anti-human loony Left, are like a bunch of sadistic perverts watching action movies, and who are disappointed when the heroine gets rescued instead of suffering a grisly fate. These people are gutted when something like Norman Borlaug’s Agricultural Revolution averts the fate of humanity predicted by Paul Ehrlich; or when Gas Fracking and Shale Oil extraction avert the fate of humanity predicted by Lester Brown. These people oppose every genuine solution to their alleged concerns; they oppose nuclear energy, they oppose hydro dams, they oppose fracking. They actually WANT to see the demise of millions of people, Malthusians of all eras all die twisted and bitter that they didn’t live QUITE long enough to see the REAL “end of the movie” they were slobbering for.
    THEIR “solutions” for civilisation, are like sadistic perverts saying, “give us the girl, WE’LL save her from the baddies OUR WAY”……….
    The estimable Theodore Dalrymple once wrote an essay “And So, He Became a Communist”, that deserves to be a classic. He referred to an epitaph that ran:

    But the man of whom the epitaph was written stayed in the Communist Party in spite of several decades of:

    The audacity of saying this requires “a fundamental shift in the way we think” is breath taking.

    We’ve seen what that shift is – collectivism and centralised governmental control, this time on a world scale. Time and again, history shows the Collectivists simply drive us all to ruin.
