Gillard: Greens poodle. Key: maori poodle…

Students and smokers will be targeted in the Budget as the Government moves to boost its revenue in a push to return to surplus by 2014/15.
Prime Minister John Key today signaled pressure from the Maori Party to increase excise tax to drive down smoking numbers would likely see an increase in excise in the Budget…’
Students and smokers will be targeted–but not government waste, red tape and the vast army of bureaucrats.
Here’s a hint, Key–this is how to reduce costs, instead of thieving yet more from the people.

National is just Labour in disguise – nanny state using the Maori party for cover.

Politicians are only marginally above pedophiles on the scuzzbag scale IMHO

    Too right.

I think National are to the left of Liarbour!! Key is Doing the Bidding for Mouldy

Oh ya,completely over the top idiot behavior by Obama, one thing is for sure,he had better not piss them off.

Someone pointed out the hypocracy yesterday.Obama was all hot and bothered because terrorists were being water boarded to get information. Now that he’s president though it’s okay to use drone strikes to kill them

Never has a more truthful statement appeared on blogosphere.

  5. Only when the people learn will these spongers leave us be. Most of the people out there don’t really give a damn that smokers are being screwed over, bit like those who worked hard to become successful are branded as being selfish and not paying their fair share by worthless leftist parasites.

Unfortunately both are in the minority now, so they have to bear the brunt, well until even they can’t keep the spending going.

  6. Darin says:

It’s a shame you guys don’t share a land border with another country. We do with Canada and Mexico and the black market for cigarettes is thriving thanks to all the punitive taxes on smokes here :popcorn

    • The Gantt Guy says:

I remember years ago there was a club (paid membership of $5 per year, but you had to be invited to join) and somehow they exploited a loophole where they were able to import cigarettes from Norfolk Island at a cost to members of about half the counter price in NZ. I guess they were getting them duty free. Anyways the government didn’t like not getting its slice so they closed the loophole.

    Joe Hildebrand:
“What we are seeing here is a government run by a political class, a team of professional politicians whose life experience is limited almost entirely to working for either the party or a trade union. Prior to entering parliament Gillard’s whole career was spent as an industrial lawyer for activist law firm Slater and Gordon, which is effectively a union outpost..”

    • octagongrappler says:

      Bang On!!

Both sides of the house are Professional polies, and all they do is switch sides of the house every so often.

Its not really a democratic choice anymore, its a claytons choice and its near impossible to actually remove these leaches from power!!

The Conservative Party was an option in NZ and they got 3% which is a start but people will continue to vote for the status quo as its so difficult to mobilise an alternative to remove the scum in parliment!!.

I think people will react when it becomes all too late and the NWO is fully in control of our lives and nations :rant …

Yep. And politicians will express surprise that it’s come to bloody revolution. (those that are left alive to express anything, that is.)

KG. Last NZ election time, there was discussion here about whether or not to vote at all. I disagreed with your no-vote opinion arguing that it was better to vote for the least offensive option than to refrain entirely. Ahem, er, do you have a little emoticon eating humble pie? It burns me now to know that I voted for that bastard Key. In partial, desperate defence, he wasn’t a homosexual, union loving, sandaled, greenstone necklace wearing greenie. Don’t let this admission go to your head.

 Welcome to the Refuseniks, Mara. :cheers

  10. mara says:

KG, it cost me a LOT to concede. In general I don’t like it. Thanks for not crowing. Rhetorical question I quess … what next?

    • KG says:

I don’t know. Given the utter futility of trying to change a corrupt system, it seems better to withdraw from the whole process as much as possible. Minimal co-operation with our masters, low-level sabotage by messing up bureaucratic systems where we can and exposing the crap whenever possible seem to be about all that’s do-able.
It’s not enough, but I’ve a feeling the lot’s going to implode before long anyway.
Meanwhile, let’s pour another wine and watch the show unfold…
(and don’t keep money in the bank)

The System is going into meltdown!! Get your money out of the Bank!!

        NWO :popcorn

Read the latest Woodpile Report, Grappler, and it sure starts to look that way.
