    • Interesting article. Typical leftist filth with a schizophrenic mix of fact and admiration thrown in. that boy is one seriously conflicted statist! The second comment under the article sums it up nicely.

      • It does. The comments are at least as interesting as the articles, often.

        • I found this tidbit interesting,it appears in many a leftist article on the subject these days-

“Then, occasionally, their nobility inspires anger. Why should I “honour” the sacrifice that people made in wars that I opposed? “

That you opposed?Really?I’m pretty damn sure the folks who fought and died in them were all opposed to them too.And not just the “bad” wars either,I would be willing to bet,no,in fact I am certain of it that nearly all WII vets living and dead were pretty well opposed to going off and defending England too for that matter.War is a hellish horrible business who’s stock and trade is death,no one especially the soldier isn’t opposed to them. The reason we fight is we are fighting for something greater than ourselves, the belief however misguided at times that humanity can be better than it is.

  1. I know it is obvious but needs repeating ..The only reason fat bellied liberals or conservatives are able to spout dissenting views is because people go to war and sometimes die for the freedom of these people to do this stuff.. How can people not get this? I am going to go live in a cave. Alone. On a fucking island. Without a computer. Good bye.
