On a side note I was watching an interview done in the late 50’s with Ayn Rand where she attempts to explain to Mike Wallace the concept of Objectivism.
That’s when it dawned on me that all human beings are by nature Objectivists whether we know it or not.The only difference is what our motivates our Objectives.
As I see it the Dems motives are lust for power and hatred and the Republicans motives are self gratification and simple greed.I don’t see anything changing with either,but instead continuing on until it’s logical end which is the universal loathing and hatred of the political class by the populace.The end will come either by totalitarianism or anarchy either way it will be bloody I am afraid.
Well, D’uh! He has a lot more flexibility now he no longer has to worry what his subjects think. He’s out of the subjects’ reach now and can do whatever he damn well pleases. And if attending a concert by some second-rate Asian performer is the worst affront to common decency that occurs in the coming 4 years, I’ll be gob-smacked.

We tend to take “exotic” birds for granted around here, because there are so many of them. (farmers shoot white cockatoos by the hundred, for example).
But my wife and I never get tired of watching and photographing them.
