That Americans are arming,here are a few examples.Walmart,our largest discount retailer stocks ammunition in 1400 stores nationwide.They are sold out of every common caliber made ,and this has been the case for the last month.Walmart also allows you to shop online,if they are out of a product you want at your local store,you can look it up online and click on the e-mail/text notification tab.When the item is logged back into stock at the store you automatically receive an e-mail or text alerting you that it’s back in stock.Our local store sporting goods manager told me they got in a pallet of .223/5.56mm ammo,15,000 rounds worth……it was gone,shelves stripped bare in 45 minutes.
In addition to Walmart,there are maybe 20 odd traditional sporting goods chain stores nationwide.They are also sold out.Then there are the online suppliers,the guys who sell bulk ammo at a discount.The place where I buy mine stocks normally 10-15,000,000 rounds of the various calibers at any given time.Even with 2 case limits per order they are down to less than 50,000 rounds and those are all odd calibers.
It’s the same situation with guns.Anything that holds a magazine is gone,bought off the shelves in a matter of a few days.The only things left are some shotguns,revolvers and some very expensive AR15’S.
Same holds true for reloading equipment and supplies.No presses,no brass,no bullets and very little powder are to be had.In all my years no one could have ever convinced me that .22lr cartridges would be hard to get,they are staples of existence like Bread,Milk and Sugar,but alas none to be had anywhere.
It’s hard to pin down a number of how many rounds of ammo have been sold since election day 2012.Some put it at between 15 and 40Billion rounds.This is an old report from 2009.
The Second Amendment is not about hunting,it is also not about self defense,it in the words of Hensen Ong is a Doomsday clause,an affirmation of our God given rights to throw off an oppressive government should all other options fail.It is becoming increasingly obvious that our political leaders are grossly out of touch with the people,so much so that many of them cannot even see the army massing in front of them.

I don’t think that’s the case Mawm.The mfgs make more money in the civilian market than selling to the government.That and I personally know more than a few people who have it stacked well high and deep at home

This happened in 2009 when Obama was first elected. It died down after a year, but this time it looks to be in full swing.
California is now planning to confiscate all guns from citizens. I wonder if the courts will uphold this. And if they do will it start a civil war?

New York State is starting pretty much that same gun grab as California, but it’s a case of closing the barn door after the cow got out, as since 2009, American patriots have stocked up on guns, ammunition, food, helmets, flak jackets, medical supplies and military style vehicles.
One guy I know in Florida told me he had an M-60 main battle tank from the Cold War era ready to roll on the Feds – he just needs 120mm shells for the main gun, although the .50 caliber and .30 caliber machine guns are ready to rock and roll.
Methinks this is a bit of bragging and feeding Federal paranoia, but all sorts of the latest model military hardware is readily available at the National Guard and Army Reserve armories all over the country, and most of them just have electronic alarms for security guards that will stop determined patriots about 45 minutes – 40 minutes to stop laughing at the pathetic security and five minutes to break in the armories and take the guns we own as taxpayers.
Therefore, armed American patriots in uncounted millions are waiting for “The Day” as the largest armed force on the planet.

Do you think they’re buying ammo because they expect restrictions on the manufacture and sale of it, or because they think it may come to a shooting war?
Among Patriots and most blue collar men I know in my local area it’s definitely in preparation for SHTF and/or Civil War v-2.0.But then most of these guys are avid marksmen anyway so having a few thousand rounds in the closet isn’t unusual.
White collar folks and most women it’s more stocking up for self-defense,the people who know they can’t fight also know they better be prepared to take care of themselves and their families should the worst happen.

But there are still plenty of hunting rounds on the shelf in the quantities needed to hunt.

The guys at my NZ pistol club report that orders sent to suppliers in the States are automatically on back-order, some items have estimated 12-18 months lead time.
Great opportunity for suppliers elsewhere in the world, me thinks. Red chinese primers, reloading presses, etc. etc.

2014 and the Panama Canal expansion will be completed allowing the new generation of PanPacific container ships to reach the GOM and eastern seaboard.
Sometime after that point the Chinese I believe will launch an invasion of the US using container ships as heavy transport vessels.The West coast,Gulf coast and Eastern ports will all be hit simultaneously.
The catalyst for all this will be when the American people find out that the real reason large sections of the western US has been cordoned off under federal control is because it was put up as loan collateral to the Chinese.It’s one reason the Chinese want us disarmed.
