  1. Nabil Abbas, the vice president of the New Urban Communities Authorities (NUCA), told Reuters on Sunday that the government would no longer issue licences for the sale of alcohol in new residential settlements on the outskirts of Cairo, Alexandria and other big cities.

“NUCA has stopped renewing licenses to sell alcohol but the current ones will continue until they expire,” Abbas said. “Representatives of the residents in new suburbs complained that the sale of alcohol leads to problems including attacking women and randomly ringing doorbells of people’s homes.”

No beer but I suppose you didn’t plan to go to Egypt anyway.

  2. Prosser will be made to resign and Spoonley gets all agro and calls him a racist and a bigot and that free speech should be defined by the public!

Yet I bet with this dude in the UK, Spoon would say, “Oh well we need to have robust opinions and debates in a free democracy”

  3. The solution to this problem won’t come from slimy idiots such as Spoonley–they can’t even define the problem accurately in the first place.
I won’t dignify the useless prick by linking to anything he babbles.

  4. We should email the “spoon” to get his comments on the U.K article??

I think from now on, We should refer to Spoonley as “him”..Because he makes me sooo sick I can’t say his name…

    • He un-free speeched the comment I left under that article. But probably not for the true examples I left.
Off the cuff remarks from dondiego often contain three (sometimes even four!) syllable words- and that’s just not fair on todays “university” kids.

  5. He makes me so sick I won’t read articles about or by him. The bastard is an expert at self-promotion, too and the media girlies are too thick or too uninformed to ask the hard questions.
