I find it hard to believe that the Guardian could be any more patronising to Australians than it already is to the British. I also find it hard to believe that it could make the land of Julia Gillard any more left wing!
The “land of Juliar Gillard” isn’t really left-wing at all, Steve. There’s a band of voters in the high-density areas around the coast which is a mixture of real left-wingers and welfare bludgers but that’s not representative of the country as a whole.
