Yes, it’s just in NSW, but the principle is lethal, as the British experience has shown. These laws tend to be enforced in one direction only and leave various non-white extremists free to vilify whites while white people are hounded for completely harmless comments. I’d have thought that Jewish people above all would realise that laws curtailing free speech will favour islamists, as they have in Europe.
No social problem was ever fixed by stifling free speech, and never will be. A Jew trying to shut me up is as much my enemy as a muslim doing the same.

    The idiots.

    I’m a very strong backer of Israel and the Jewish people, but these people aren’t doing their religion any favours at all.

    I think Bolt made the point elsewhere on his blog that one of the reasons that the Holocaust happened was that **no-one was free to speak up against it.**

    These laws can be aimed at the Muslims and used to hit them over the head with it. The true anti-Semites in the world are the Muslims and laws like this can stop them fast.

      Except they won’t, Findalis.
      You miss the point–such laws exist in Britain and they’re used mainly against people speaking out against muslims. Muslims in Britain (and France and Sweden) can still describe Jews as “the descendents of pigs and apes” etc with impunity.
      If you think “hate speech” laws will curb muslims, you’ve been on another planet for the past ten years.

        I k now, but it could be done. Somebody who has the balls to bring such a case could make a difference.
