‘The sinister spread of justice behind closed doors
Today’s revelations in the Mail about Wanda Maddocks, the woman imprisoned by a judge for trying to remove her 80-year-old father from a care home where he was being held against his family’s wishes, are truly shocking.
Most disturbing of all is that it is only thanks to persistent inquiries by the Mail that we know of her fate at all — for the court heard the case in secret and chose not to publish the ruling containing details of her sentence….’

    Once upon at a time – in a country far, far away – Americans rebelled against secret British courts. The date was July 4, 1776.

    I’m afraid if the frog doesn’t soon jump out of the pot this time, he’s cooked.

        I have little left in me but tears of frustration and a deep, abiding anger that I doubt will ever be assuaged in what is left of my life.

        My only hope for the future is that one of the generations that follow may find the will and the means to save themselves.

        I can do no more then I have done over all these years, and yet it has been to no avail; either a lemming culture will go over the cliff or it will find something within itself to turn back at the last moment.

        I know not which.

    And happening here in NZ too. Pedophiles are moved around in secrecy TODAY, and the papers and people dont make a particularly big fuss about it (but the press will spend a lot more column inches on a Catholic Abuse case from 30 years ago).

    A women was fearful for her life, and went to the Police. They could see the person she was scared of was a convicted killer. They didn’t warn her, because of the murderer’s supposed right to privacy, and they said they were too busy on other issues to provide any help. (A speeding ticket blitz I guess takes priority). The outcome – their 13 year old daughter murdered and the house burned down.

    Things are going to hell in a hand basket.

      Surely.
      Such things fill me with rage, Zen and I don’t know what the answer is. If people are too apathetic or too uninterested to fight for what’s right, then I guess the downward slide is irreversible.

        A few years ago, I would have called you a defeatist, KG, but after watching the steady march to collectivism in America, I think you’re right.

        The only type of insurrection possible today would be a rat war of bombings and assassinations like that done by the Islamists – and such tactics by patriots would be counter-productive and drive even more Americans into Big Brother’s camp.

        The other military option – the massing of a rebel force as was done in 1775 and 1861 would be impossible today – DHS would blow a patriot military concentration away in their base camps, and they could hunt down and kill individual rebels by Drones.

        Obama has already ordered the death of American citizens overseas – in a “National Emergency” (declared by Him by Decree) he could do the same in the Homeland.

        The political option? Ha-ha! :mrgreen: 2012 was very likely the last real presidential campaign that was pissed away by a “Nice Guy” who should have remembered the high school wisdom: “Nice guys always finish last.”

        So much for the peaceful Tea Party dreams of a 2014 mid term comback. If it does come to pass and the Republicans gain control of the House and Senate – nothing will change. Obama rules by Decree and he owns the federal machine.

        2016? :mrgreen: Obama will have by then 12 to 20 million new formerly illegal Hispanic voters in his Democommie Party :!:

        The loyal opposition will lose elections even in the formerly Red States :!: It’s the effective end of the two party system in America, although for P.R. purposes the Leftist Ruling Class may allow the Republicans to exist.

        Of course, in time Communist America will fall – New Deals and Five Year Plans always do – However, it may take hundred years and a hundred million deaths in the Federal GULAG for it to happen.

        These days old Ronbo (age: 64 years) can’t help to think like Cato The Younger, the gallant Roman Republican who committed suicide rather than submit to the rule of Caesar.

        There is a good reason why the suicides of active duty and veteran G.I.s are at an all time high.

        We will never become like the muslims, because we will fight for freedom, not to enslave others. Anybody who thinks otherwise is either ignorant or has a poor grasp of ethics.

    When a nation readily accepts that it’s too stupid and too weak to protect themselves and look after their own health and they call on someone, anyone to do it for them. That comes at a price that’s not readily apparent.

    By the time enough of the sheep learn that they’ve lost far more than they originally thought, it’s too late and nothing can be done.
