    Thanks, Carol.

  3. KG says:

Thanks, Ronbo. The esteem is mutual.

  4. Darin says:

    Courage,Honor,Patriot,ANZAC.Nuff said!

  5. Kirly says:

Oh I’m so glad I didn’t miss it! (It’s still the 24th here). I’ll be sure to wear one of my Kiwi lapel pins tomorrow and make people ask about it.

And to see an example of the fucking, filthy, progressive, academic “ivory tower” thrashing of the ANZAC tradition KG, have a look at Andrew Bolt .. “Lake jumps into Anzac day.” I started gagging fairly early into the interview with this much cleverer than us person saying … “simple minded promotion of the values of sacrifice, courage … ” etc. This intellectual fool seems unable to realise that they have patriots to thank for their ability to speak freely at all. Forgive the syntax; I’m really angry .

    • KG says:

I read that piece of offensive, brain-dead drivel Mara, and it left me wanting a shower.
I’d like to see that piece of shit given a ticket to Pakistan, where she can try preaching her vomitous garbage to people who know how to deal with the likes of her.
      Parasitic bitch.

  7. KG says:

Come a civil war, my first day out will be to the halls of academia………

  8. KG says:

    Indeed.

My buddy the former Spotter pilot said he had a dream one night that he was flying a B-25 in formation with 15 others.Sitting back enjoying the ride he heard the call in his headset “increase to combat power” “30 seconds to target open bay doors”then he looked out his window and saw Washington D.C.

  9. And tonight I saw TVNZ news presenters wearing poppies. Do you see how they cynically copy conservatism when the market demands? The rest of the year they are anti war.

  10. Oswald Bastable says:

    WE don’t forget!

  11. The Gantt Guy says:

I’ve been wondering all day – well, for a long time actually – how to apologise to those who have donned a uniform in defence of their nations, and even moreso to those who made the ultimate sacrifice in that defence, only for their progeny to voluntarily hand over to totalitarians by degrees what they were unable to take by force.

This article from Geoff Crocker writing at Menzies House expresses it so much better than I could. The best I could come up with is “I’m sorry”.

“We shall not sleep,” our fallen whisper from the grave. “We threw the torch but you have not held it high.” And they are right.”

    • Darin says:

There isn’t any need to apologise to our Vets. All we need do is join them at the front when the coming fight starts.

Hell calls the dance of war and our enemies will pay the Fiddler

  12. Ronbo says:

    @KG:

“Come a civil war, my first day out will be to the halls of academia………”

Now wait a minute darn minute!

I thought we had agreed here at Crusader Rabbit, …”and the first thing we do is to kill all the lawyers.”

Then we hit the “Sacred Halls of Ivy” with a combat assault :!:

    • Darin says:

Ron-College proffs, lawyers and politicians,is there really ANY difference?

My Grand dad had a saying for such a problem-“Is there really more than one flavor of shit?”

  13. William Stout says:

There are seminal moments in a nation’s history. For Australia and New Zealand it was Anzac. Both nations sent their men to do battle and they fought with valor and honor. It is well that we remember the sacrifices of our cousins overseas and pay them the respect that they deserve. They were good men and they served their homes with dignity and pride. May we never forget them.
