‘An amendment submitted by Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley requiring the security of the Nation´s borders before granting amnesty to more than 11 million illegal immigrants, has been voted down by the Senate Judiciary Committee 6-12. Every Democrat on the Committee voted against the amendment. The amendment: Purpose: To prohibit the granting of registered provisional immigrant status until the Secretary has maintained effective control of the borders for 6 months and to apply border security strategies to all border sectors.   1. If they allow any sort of amnesty, the entire US 0f A will go the way of California and the Republicans will be finished.

    • Yep. Which makes Flake and Graham’s stance all the more odd.
      The only possible conclusion I can come to is that a large part of the Republican hierarchy shares exactly the same agenda as the Dems.
