    Now is as good as any time.

    The Republicans are just another group of Progressives like the Democrats with differences that are only paper thin. And one of their most notable similarities is that they both hate Conservatives.

    Why continue to support a party whose hierarchy hates you?

    Levin and Palin should do it.

      Yep. Real conservatives need a genuine home, and this could be it. But they’re in the minority, by a fairly large margin. Nevertheless, a genuine conservative party could act as spoilers and be a force to be reckoned with–especially if they take a leaf out of the leftist playbook and wage well-funded lawfare.

    Great minds think alike!

    Years ago on my blog I floated the idea of a “Liberty Party” in which all candidates running for office would have to sign a contract to always vote the platform – or be removed from office by the “Purge Committee.”

    They would also be restricted to two terms in office at their level. In other words, a Congressman after two terms could run for the Senate and if elected serve only two terms there…An “up or out” political career like in the military – no career “corporals” allowed!

    The Republican Party was formed in 1854 from the northern branch of the old Whig Party, which was divided over the issue of slavery.

    It is interesting how in a general way American history is repeating itself, because the Republican Party is divided over the issue of Progressive socialism (slavery) – and Tea Party Movement has nowhere to go except to a new political house.

    The more things change, the more they stay the same….

      @KG:

      Yes, American conservatives (actually radical capitalists/limited central government) have gained very ground because they were living on the Progressive Big Government Republican Party Plantation – and in the 20th century only managed to get two conservative presidents elected.

      However, if they can manage to put together a Freedom Party with a conservative ideology and strong stable of political candidates, the game is changed completely, because the RINO Republicans will leave the GOP and join the Democrats, which is exactly where they belong.

      “IT’S THE IDEOLOGY :!: :!: :!:

      Then the decks are cleared for action…for CW II, because only by Iron and Blood will the issue that divides our nation be settled once and for all time.
