I just downloaded the first three parts of Jacob Bronowski’s “The Ascent of Man”.
It’s as good as I remember it being when I first watched it as a teenager.

  4. KG says:

Now to grab Carl Sagan’s “Cosmos”……..

    • Cadwallader says:

I watched Cosmos in its entirety last year, it now has updates attached to some of the episodes. It is majestic. I heard Sagan described as “God with a high IQ!”

  5. Darin says:

Sounds like Andy aka Poor Bastard is married to a Ding Bat

Young Indian boy (feather not dot) goes to his father the Chief and asks-“Father,when Running Deer was born how did you decide on a name?”

Chief replied “The morning after he was born the first thing I saw was a Deer running across the prairie”

“Well then father when Singing Dove was born how did you decide on her name?”

Chief replied “The morning after she was born the first thing I saw was a Dove singing in the Bush” “Why do you ask Two Bears F–king?”

      LOL :!:

I asked my mother why she named me “Ronald :?:

“I didn’t,” she replied, “It was your dad’s name, because he loved that movie that starred Ronald Reagan and Claude Rains. You know the movie that took place in North Africa during WW II :!:

I said, “Mom, Ronald Reagan didn’t star in Casablanca :!: It was Humphrey Bogart in the starring role in Casablanca.”

My mother said, “Ron, it took me three hours to talk him out of naming you “Bonzo” after the monkey in Ronald Reagan’s “Bedtime for Bonzo” because he thought you looked like a little ape just after you were born.”

      • Darin says:

Ron,I think Mom had a thing for Bobby Darin when she named me,Dad didn’t care much,he was too busy working

I’m so ugly when I was born the doctor slapped both ends just to be sure

Yeah… I can hear a lot of pregnancy hormones talking there.

  7. RWT says:

From what i read in the article, it sounds like the two of them are a perfect match, i feel sorry for the kid though. He/She will grow up with them as parents…. or should i say friends. Isn’t that all the rage these days, being ‘friends’ with your children.

  8. KG says:

“Isn’t that all the rage these days, being ‘friends’ with your children.”
It is indeed. And in my view that’s little better than protracted child-abuse.

Don’t knock modern WASP parents – at least they have kids :!:

I mean demographics point to the fact that the white birth rate in most countries has fallen below the replacement levels, so within a couple of generations entire nations in Europe like Russia, Germany, France and England will start to disappear…as white European nations….

Ditto Asian countries like Japan and China…The Muslim World  is getting hit the hardest, as Islamic women have went from families of six or more kids to less than two. This is due to literacy and the Age of the Internet. Apparently when Muslim women can read the instructions on their bottle of birth control pills, they use them with religious fever :!:

And can you blame them :?:

One of the few countries in the world with above replacement level births are the United States and Israel. The best thinking on this issue is that it’s mainly due to conservative Christianity and Orthodox Judaism that holds life to be sacred and encourages large families.

There is an excellent book on this topic available: “How Civilizations Die: (And Why Islam Is Dying Too) [Kindle Edition]” I’m reading it now and I highly encourage the PMs of the Little Parliament at Crusader Rabbit to order it as well (after first checking the public library for a free copy)…

I think what you will learn will give you a more accurate picture on what is REALLY going on in the world, as most people still think that OVERPOPULATION is the problem, when the reality is that UNDERPOPULATION is the real issue.

The good news is that Islam is dying…

The bad news is that much of the world is dying as well…
