Bloody WordPress!

:evil:  There’s yet another update coming out, this one apparently “jammed with features”.
I don’t want fucking “features”, I want a simple, secure platform which is easy to control, reliable  and trustworthy.
The last major update screwed the media feature and now for every pic I post, it’s necessary to go go back and delete the damn thing from the media library. This is progress?? I don’t want a media library, it’s just more shit to gum up the works and slow things down.
Developers need to give their fucking egos a rest, stop tinkering and accept that the vast majority of users are looking for simplicity and reliability.
Here endeth the rant.
Update: Not quite. The WordPress media library has grabbed pics from other areas in my computer and simply added them to the library. No permissions, no notification–simply added. Deleting them is a nightmare process and has to be done singly.
If necessary I will close down Crusader Rabbit, rather than tolerate this shit.

    Damn right. The WordPress media library now contains every pic stored on my computer! I never gave permission for the fucking program to grab info from anywhere it pleases. Storing pics I’ve inserted into posts is one thing, but creating a library without asking permission is another entirely.

    KG,if it’s any help you can use my photobucket account for image hosting CR.No need for WP to store any image files that way.

    I know exactly how you feel, KG. I use Drupal, so I don’t have the same problems but I get problems all the same. I spend almost as much time blogging as maintaining the site. My main problem is spam. I rely on Mollom, a third-party spam protection, which is excellent but when it’s down I get killed. And even when that’s going well, I still have to control bots and spiders on a daily basis through my .htaccess file or my CPU usage goes through the roof and when that goes up too much my host cuts me off without notice. Surely they could simplify things.
