None of this would matter much and it would be an amusing sideshow, except that we, the taxpayers, are paying higher taxes, suffering more bureaucratic control over our lives and the disfigurement of the countryside in the name of a discredited crony capitalist scam marketed as a fashionable religion.

They’re desperate, but there’s no need to be…politicians and the media will cover their backsides until we get used to higher taxes and the despoilation of the countryside. There are now enough indoctrinated idiots to carry the program forward.
I heard andrew bolt describe this as their last desperate bid in this war. They’re giving it their all folks, the emperor is butt-naked, the children are pointing and cackling but the fool and minions march on, noses in the air, patting themselves on the ass.
