quite right. A good group is a fine thing, but the MPI needs to be exactly where you want it. Something often missed by the ‘mine is smaller than yours’ shooters
Indeed, Os. I figure with the .243 ballistics, that will give me something like a 50-250m range over which I’ll still be within minute-of-hog.
Well now you done flung a craving on me Good timing too,the weather is finally drying out/cooling off.
“Done flung a craving on me”? You’ll be drinking moonshine and ticklin’ catfish next.
I am a Range Officer at the NZ Deerstalkers Association, so I’ve seen many a target. Yours looks good KG, but as I tell most of the shooters “It’s also a confidence thing.”
For sure, Rivoniaboy. That, and practice. It’s only in the past six months I’ve been able to shoot frequently, and as a commenter here well knows, before that I was as rusty as hell, which almost destroyed that confidence.
But the best shot in the world over a rest can still come unravelled pretty fast in the field, non?
As I recall you have a very nice rifle in the Sako and a quality scope. Over to you.
But as far as I can see from your target, that is nice shooting. So in my books that’s a pass. Well done!
Thank you! The rifle and scope deserve the credit, though.
I’ve seen some fine rifles spray lead all over the paper.
‘…Without my rifle- I am useless. Without me- my rifle is useless…’
