  1. This is probably one of the most disconcerting trends I see in the modern armed forces. Apart from the attempts to feminise them, they are tinkering with traditions.

Sure combat uniforms are changing as technology advances, but the dress and service uniforms have always linked current soldiers with their predecessors. How much pride does a serviceman feel when he can look back into history and see another wearing the same uniform as he is?

Anybody remember when the US Rangers had to give up their black beret? All that history attached to it was gone too.

But I suppose this is the modus operandi of the left. Not only do they taint traditions, the burn them down and piss on their ashes.

…at least until We The People shoot the Leftists, burn their bodies and piss on their ashes :!:

      Think it can’t happen :?:

      See Chile, 1973, Pinochet…

  2. Dudes, it’s not enough to be just be gay friendly, you need to be able to recruit as well. Subsequently, you need the rough trade Marines also looking just Fabulous!!

        • Great. Thanks for that. I just finished watching that making of a locomotive documentary.
Absorbing stuff, especially the hammer forging.

          • It’s one of the good things about the Internet. All the stuff that was forgotten is being re-discovered

    • Indeed, Darin, and not just those still ‘in’ the military. I would suspect that those now ‘out’ of the military, both those of all ranks retired at the end their sworn service and, as in the UK, those booted out virtually penniless onto the streets for either socio-political reasons or under the guise of ‘economic necessity’, will express an interest as well – and none of them, no matter how old will have lost their basic skill set nor the state of mind needed to utilise it. Believe me, I know whereof I speak. http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_cool.gif

      • Seneca,I have never seen so many Vets of ALL ages pissed off at their Commander in Chief.Obama only had 25% support among the military when he first took office and I doubt it has increased any since the change in ROE,letting the gays in and cutting the Military budget every chance he gets, not to mention Benghazi.

    • Well, Findalis, I have served with some seriously nasty professional, uniformed throat cutters in my time who were also shirt lifters in their off duty hours. Never the less I was always happy to have them alongside when the excrement was hitting the impeller, although I did draw the line at sharing a sleeping bag with them. If you make your position clear from the beginning there are no problems, at least not in my case.
My you, it was quite an interesting scenario when I was being ‘shaved’ by a medic of that persuasion prior to having a lump of shrap removed from my nether regions. But, what the hell, there are always moments in this life where certain inconveniences arise and one simply has to grit ones teeth, lie back and think of England. To put it delicately.
