Thanks. He was running hard at around 120yds, left to right. Damn thing was almost the same color as the background, and hard to get a bead on.
And thanks for the forging links. The process fascinates Wabbit.

  3. KG says:

Oh my! That is one beautiful axe. I don’t imagine it sold at any bargain-basement price, but whatever, it’d be worth it.

The thugs were apparently people of no description. Which usually means they were black and/or muslims.

    Another traitor. Primary the bastard.

How cruel. How can you shoot a live and defenceless animal? How?

    • KG says:

There wouldn’t be much point in shooting a dead defenceless animal, would there?
To answer your question–by loading bullet thingy into a bang stick, pointing it at the fluffy thing then making it go BANG! and the fluffy thing is now deaded.

Do you know for sure the animal is defenceless? Click on the pic and you will see those white thingies hanging out his mouth are not drinking straws or cigarettes.
And you obviously don’t mind the thought of a newborn calf being torn to pieces and perhaps you’d care to pop out this way and explain to some animals dying of thirst that the cute widdle piggie destroyed their water supply and it’s better he lives to kill them than we kill him humanely?
And how do you suppose that same pig, left to Nature, will die? You think he expires peacefully, surrounded by grieving relatives, to the sound heavenly piggyangel choirs?
He dies, usually, in agony, of wounds inflicted in a fight or infection or parasite infestation or starvation or…….

Regular readers of CR know how much I love and respect animals of all kinds. The difference between you and me is that I don’t have some half-assed romanticised view of nature. Just like the pig, I’m part of life on earth and I have a right and an obligation to behave accordingly.
The fact that I enjoy hunting in no way alters that.
      Grow up.

          Thanks Darin.
I once saw somebody argue in a letters to the editor page that white sharks should be wiped out because they eat “cute and cuddly seals”.
She’d obviously never been bitten by a seal. Or consulted a fish which had been bitten in half by one…..

          • KG says:

You have deer, we have ‘roos….

    Good.
Any “industry” that relies on state subsidies taxpayer’s money in order to survive…shouldn’t.

Great to see PM Tony calling the carbon tax scam for what it is! He’s a refreshing change to his immediate predecessors.

        • KG says:

Just great, isn’t it? He’s obviously remaining minimally polite but it’s very plain where he stands on the subject.

Bloody Apple…this keyboard is crapping out so I just went online to order another.
    The order form requires that
    a) I give them a landline number (don’t have one and neither do a hell of a lot of people nowadays)
    b) I register with them for an Apple I.D. number.
    They can go get fucked.
