The New York Times Endorses U.S. Police State
‘The New York Times published an editorial Monday that not only endorses last week’s police-military lockdown of Boston, but suggests that it was entirely consistent with democratic procedures. In “How to Handle a Terrorism Case,” the Times makes the absurd argument that the operation that led to the arrest of alleged Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was a vindication of “the fundamental rights that distinguish this country from authoritarian regimes.”
In the editorial, the leading organ of the “liberal” establishment shamelessly falsifies what actually occurred, omitting any mention of the use of National Guard troops, SWAT teams, machine-gun mounted armored vehicles and Black Hawk helicopters. It makes no mention of the order for some 1 million residents to remain in their homes or the warrantless house-to-house searches carried out by heavily armed police…..’

    Pravda and Izvestia reborn. Except the common citizen of the USA don’t yet have a uniformly cynical way of dismissing the new soviet-style media as soviet subjects did.

    I think “crony capitalism” is just a polite way of saying, “Fascism.”

    Recall that Hitler did not seize control of business and industry – but the Nazis saw to do it that their lackeys were running the large corporations that were in love with large government military contracts.

    Yes, the Progressive Regime ruling our country would love to seize all private property, but the ugly little truth is that they are too stupid and incompetent to guide a troop of Boy Scouts to the restroom, much less run superpower America, so they “contract out” the work to various corporations, Hitler style.

      I tend to agree with Ronbo’s assessment in its entirety, but if the only thing I wished for was that my assessment of what the enemy was doing was vindicated, I would have simply not bothered to say anything.

      Yes they are doing all those things, but in reverse.

      Using the most moronic PC rules imaginable — do not ever speak of reality and consequences lest you offend the self esteem of any incompetent — our conquerors have built the anti-meritocracy, an incompetocracy.
