    I did read about the dog from No Man’s Land and thanks for the remider.

    As a marine biologist the parasitic barnacle is ,while very creepy, not a big surprise. I have seen other species of parasitic barnacle infest deepwater sharks, most often near their anus. http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_wacko.gif

    The final weirdness is…barnacles are crustaceans just like the crab. I really think biologists see the world totally differently from ‘normal’ folks.

      I’m damn sure they do, Michael.
      There are some similarities there with the parasite that infests ants and turns them into “zombie ants”, non?
      It’s creepy as hell, but fascinating.
      Now I’ll go look for the organism that infests lefty brains and turns them into zombie voters…… :twisted:
