   How about the Queen’s representative not calling for a republic! Quentin (BTW is that not a boys name?) seems to be a dick of the highest order.

   Abbott must very careful he doesn’t end up like Key. Next he’ll be offering Rudd and Gillard board positions in SOE’s.

     Exactly, Mawm. Bryce is a loathsome low-grade shit with an inflated sense of entitlement and no respect for the office she holds. Tony Abbott made a serious error of judgement in not accepting her offer to resign.
     The possibility of Abbott becoming another Key is worrying–he’s better than that and he has a great deal of popular support. He should be using the mandate he has to make some worthwhile long-term changes. Chief of which should be reform of Socialist Propaganda Service, aka the ABC.

       Like Key he is too scared to use the mandate he was given to get rid of the progressives/socialists/communists. It is not going to change their hatred for him by keeping them in positions of influence. If it were me they’d have been gone by lunch time.

     This is the same problem everywhere,the very minute a conservative leader comes to power they should implement a scorched Earth policy and purge anyone that even gives the appearence of being a lefty from positions of power.

     That was Bush’s main failing of leadership IMHO,he was too nice a guy and didn’t go for the generation kill of lefty leadership left over from Clinton.The way I see it your going to get hammered by the media whether you do or don’t,so you may as well do it.If those bastards can be rooted out and removed from office it can be 20 years or better before they can gain strength enough to mount any serious opposition again.

       Exactly my thoughts Darin.

       Aussie liberty guardians are gonna just detest it when they get charged with something like Abbott Derangement Syndrome for faulting him for letting the Downers win legislative and bureaucratic battles even though he was elected to at least reform them when he can’t end them. Those incremental Prog bastards didn’t label themselves Progressives for their love of individual liberty but for the way in which they weasel power.

   Abbott unfortunately is stuck between a rock and a hard place. From what i’ve read of him, he takes his faith seriously, he really does take that turn-the-other-cheek thing seriously. He believes that if he is harsh to his enemies, he will have to answer for it. He probably believes that if he doesn’t fight back, that if he makes a small target of himself they’ll leave him alone.

   Sadly for him, the more he won’t respond, the more they’ll just kick him until he’s broken. They won’t hate him any less or take pity on him.

     That was the argument that Bush’s brownshirts used against conservatives who disapproved of his what ultimately became his leftward march.
