    • Very typical of the people around here, Findalis. Much maligned by city greenies and latte lefties as ignorant rural know-nothings, yet a surprising number of them have outstanding educations and have travelled widely.
      This guy would be just as likely to be the owner of a vast cattle station, putting in a long, hard day and it’s a safe bet that his wife is every bit as involved and capable.
      Wonderful people.

    • 2013 was a sad year for you Michael, and I know I speak for everybody when I say how much we felt for you. And we miss Medusa, her honesty and acid wit. I’m sorry we couldn’t do more to ease your pain.
      But I know she’d want us to be happier in 2014 and I can hear her voice telling us to “stop bloody moaning and get on with it”.
      So, we will.
      May 2014 be peaceful and happy for you. And there’s always a warm welcome and a cold beer at our place for you, remember.

      After living out West anywhere else is going to feel claustrophobic. Every time we go to the coast the noise and the traffic and the people get to us after a few hours and it’s damn good to see that long, empty road home.
      About 0500 tomorrow I’m going for a shoot and there won’t be another car on the road there or back. A man could die out there and not be found for months. :mrgreen:
