wevvergot up at 0430 to go and check cattle, but we had a thunderstorm last night and the road was impassable. It took twenty minutes and a fire hose to blast the mud from under the Hilux.

    • The dysfunctions whitey now suffers makes me shake my head in a bemused FFS wonderment way.
      On the telescreen at work I saw “news” saying eczema was on the up in Australia as infants homes were too clean/sterile. -In the ad break at least one “kills 99% of germs” product.

      It appears to me that white peoples individuality is being used against them with a PR campaign to make people think they’re lactose intolerent etc.

      (BTW, my good mates wife is gluten-free on Drs orders, so I know there is reality and hypochondria)

      • There is nothing wrong with letting one’s kids play in the dirt. It allows their immune system to develop. The worst one can do is run around with so called antiseptic solutions and stopping them from eating the mud.

        Anti-wheat diets are the new fad. Humans have only been eating wheat for a few millennia and somehow managed to survive. Somehow the rank and file idiots will believe a Hollywood “celebrity” on what to eat instead of just plain old common sense.

        I shake my head in utter bemusement at how dumb most people are.

    • ermmmm…….dunno, Dondiego. Forecasters have gone very quiet on that subject.
      But the weather patterns of last year seem to be repeating, and I frankly don’t believe what somebody (not a local) told me the other night–that the monsoon trough that’s currently above PNG, can drop down in just a couple of days and give us a wet.
      I’m a keen weather watcher and in my experience it takes a month or so to do that.
      We’re running out of time, imho.

  3. I’ll send you the 6″ we are going to get tomorrow. That will be on top of the 16″ we already have on the ground.

    It’s been freezing here with temps in the negatives without wind chill.

  6. I’m sure we are just imagining these stories, because the science is settled. Al Gore got a Nobel Peace prize for the science, after all. It’s not as if they just hand those out to people for doing nothing. Obama, for example, got one for um, um, well, technically, doing nothing, but think of it as a deposit for all the things he will do if elected for a third term. Well, OK, he can’t do a third term, but on the speaker circuit, well, he’s really going to do a lot there. He can team up with Al Gore and produce a new documentary – “An inconvenient truth: It’s not really lying if Democrats believe you”

      • I was a long time Florida resident and well remember the days when a climate/economic refugee from New York state was a rare find – and most of those retirees who settled in Miami Beach – In years previous to 2001 most new Floridians came from the South and places like Brevard County was filled with former West Virginians fed up with taxes and no jobs.

        However, in the last ten years this has all changed and most of the refugees from the north in Central Florida were former New Yorkers looking for jobs, low taxes and a warmer climate.
