Thanks for the link KG. I knew Palin, Jidal, and Cruz had stepped up to defend Phil but had missed the lack of visibility of the Republican establishment and leadership (I use the term only in its political sense).
Their lack of courage to stand for the Constitution should preclude them from holding public office ever. What the hell is wrong with the USA?

I think things are changing in the West World as the winds of patriotism and love of country are blowing strong across the planet.
I have only started watching Duck Dynasty since the “big controversy” erupted. I only needed to see a few episodes to figure out why controversy has been thrust upon Phil Robertson. It’s a show about people who believe in God and family. A show that ends each episode with the entire family sitting down to supper with Phil saying grace. That was all it took to hook me in to becoming a regular viewer.
Of course, God and family are the very reasons why the leftist weenies are working so hard to turn Phil’s words from “one man’s opinion” to an all out hate attack on gays and blacks. God and family are two of the more important values from which America was founded. And, in my opinion, the constant attacks against God and family are what the leftists are using to help implode America from within.
So, in response to Michael’s question, “What the hell is wrong with the USA?” the answer is fairly simple. Americans need to unashamedly return to and rigidly embrace the core values of God, family and patriotism and, demand the same from those we elect to manage the workings of our country. That would certainly be a welcomed change from the gutless, tax feeding hacks that strive to stay “out of sight and out of mind,” so as not to offend anyone, in order to secure re-election.

I disagree with Teresa Monroe-Hamilton that President Temper-Tantrum or anybody in his Administration is guilty of treason (the charge of treason specifically refers to aiding nations to overthrow or make war against the US, and I don’t think they’ve done that – the moslem brotherhood is not a nation, and helping Iran to destroy Israel isn’t covered), but given the list they’ve come up with (by no means exhaustive, I’m sure), there are definitely grounds for impeachment – plenty of High Crimes and Misdemeanours!
However…in order for patriot Republican representatives to succeed, they will have to get rid of the current leadership, who have spent more time attacking their patriot “colleagues” and cleaning The Won’s chocolate starfish with their tongues than they have defending the Constitution they swore to uphold. I still like the idea of Governor Palin for Speaker (the Speaker doesn’t have to be drawn from the members of the House). Boner and McConnell MUST GO before any impeachment proceedings will succeed, mark my words.
I can’t help it if you’re ignorant of the constitution. Art III Sec 3 says:
Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.
The Congress shall have Power to declare the Punishment of Treason, but no Attainder of Treason shall work Corruption of Blood, or Forfeiture except during the Life of the Person attainted.
There can be no argument that Osama bin Kenya has at least “adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort.” The Iran surrender is enough there. The constitution demands the Life of the Person so attained of Treason as the only sufficient punishment.
Except of course America is not at war and, although having described them as members of an “axis of evil” and levied sanctions, etc. no nation is formally an “enemy”.
It isn’t the Constitution, it’s a basic understanding of the English language.

There is not a snowball in hell’s chance of Republicans impeaching Obama.Why would they impeach the person who is carrying out an agenda they agree with? “Immigration reform” is a top priority of of Republican backers i.e. big business.

Having volunteered many hours and given $$$ and then to have had – not one- but two stalwart men betrayed by the GOP- NRSC (Danneymeyer -we have Di Feinstein becasue of that betrayal by the elite Rssssss) and Joe Miller–betrayed as well- we have little RINO lisa murkowski (Alaska) who votes w/ the dems and the mc cains ..

Third parties don’t work as a rule. To me the establishment Republicans are a
gutless centrist bunch, e.g. Romney, who refused to introduce the subject of
Benghazi during last years Presidential debates. The trouble with Palin for all
her strengths, is that she would not appeal to the mainstream or independents,
as she has been so badly tarnished by the lame stream media. The future for
the Republicans is the like of Ted Cruz, but he would have to climb a monster
of a mountain to get anywhere.
Good points, Alan. But I think the only future for true conservative Republicans is to get organized and defeat the RINOS at the primaries.
Even if that means short-term losses.
Ignore the independent voters–they’ll climb aboard eventually because they’ll have no other choice.
As for Palin–I don’t believe she’s been “tarnished” as far as true conservatives are concerned.Or even many independents. To push that line is to do her enemies’ work for them. Already the MSM virtually decides who is an “acceptable” Republican candidate.
Women and blacks voted O into office. Women and conservatives and dithering independents could do the same for Palin, especially on a West/Palin ticket.
