‘THE federal government’s $10 million pledge for Syrian refugees is disappointing and doesn’t go far enough, aid agencies say…’
That’s ten million dollars ordinary Aussies had to work for. Why the hell anybody thinks we should be responsible for looking after the victims of endless fighting between primitive, murderous assholes in this region is beyond me.
The cheapest solution would be to drop a bucket of Instant Sunshine™ on Mecca, as an example to the rest of ’em.

    Exactly right, why should we give them anything, it’s not a matter of just being mean, the other real worry is that how to we know that the 10 large isn’t going to be siphoned off to some terrorist ratbag out there who’s just going to bring more misery.

    Maybe Abbott should put this to the aid agencies, you want more money, well how about i take some of the money given to the green parasites and we go halfsies with it, you get half, i’ll put half into health or education and the greenies go looking for their begging bowls. Or better still we put the money into helping Middle eastern Christians fleeing persecution. I’m betting the aid agencies won’t be quite so passionate about the Syrian refugees then.

    Here’s a crazy idea.

    Let’s divide that 10mil up between every taxpayer (net-positive taxpayer) and let -them- decide whether they want to donate to the Syrians through whichever charity they choose.
