‘…The argument is made that the NSA’s trove of personal data may fall into, or has fallen into the hands of political activists, blackmailers, stalkers, identity thieves, prosecutors, employers, news gatherers, extortionists, marketers, voyeurs or the merely curious. No sober person would claim otherwise. But the integrity of the process is a term of art, not a measure of its legitimacy. No right of the people relies on trust in its abusers. The right to personal security has been violated if the information is never used at all. The breach is at the point of collection, not its use or misuse. We don’t excuse homicide if the corpse was properly handled.
….That NSA’s case is less than compelling in terms of results is of no relevance, the people’s rights aren’t coupons DC may redeem for something it values more….’    (bold mine)

    Outstanding!

It’s all blather unfortunately, Americans couldn’t even bring themselves to vote out a fellow who wants to force them to buy something they don’t want, and that’s when he’s not telling them that they’re all racist curs who should be ashamed of themselves.

There’s going to be a lot more groping, fondling and sharing of their body parts and personal lives before Americans decide enough is enough.

Personally, I think it will be secession and martial law, not necessarily in that order.
When the dollar tanks the feds are done. No money equals no influence. Look at Colorado with its recall on gun control and it’s decriminalization of pot. States are tabling legislation that prohibits federal officers enforcing gun laws.

The union never really survived the civil war. The not-so-United States are finally coming around to that fact, so while the likes of New York and Los Angeles might be on board right to the bitter end it seems not everyone is intending to go down with the ship.
