    I’ll be 70 this month, and you know, I’m not too sorry to be approaching the end of my life. Never did I think I’d see a resurgence of nazism in my lifetime. Neither would I have dreamed that a free people would line up like sheep to be groped–and allow their children to be groped–by thugs and perverts.

    I’m ashamed of what Western man has become.

      What pisses me off is the government bent over backwards to supposedly avoid violating a certain group’s rights.They did so by violating everyone else’s rights.

      I am not young anymore either. What really inflames me now is the repetitive non-thinking mantras from the msm and so-called educationalists. To be assailed in the streets by schoolchildren blatantly mouthing-off about climate change, the evils of GE cropping and the need not to offend anyone really underlines the shit-heaped society we’ve seen emerge. I am now old enough to be more sad than angry.

    I’m really starting to get jack of Knish. He keeps pushing this “left vs right” hogwash to the point where I’m starting to wonder if the guy is just another would-be tyrant who’s merely pissed off because his preferred brand of tyranny is losing.

    Seriously, how the fuck does anyone think we’d be better off with ten, twenty or a hundred years of Bush/Regan/Bush and their endless “war on freedom” mentality. He bitches constantly about the left, as if the right has even barely put the brakes on creeping fascism at any stage of the game.

    His articles seem well written, until you’ve read two dozen of them and you realise that they’re the exact same article, parted up and reassembled. Seriously, if three seperate students turned in three seperate Kinsh essays then two of them would be punished for plagiarism.

    It’s unfortunate. It’s like he can’t break through the left/right thought barrier, possibly because understanding that voting is not going to fix things results in a logical step that precludes a peaceful outcome.

    Perhaps he’s captive to his audience and doesn’t want to lose hits by transitioning to a message to the effect of “spend ballot day practicing your fire and move drills”. Who knows. All I can say is that his work is getting pretty fucking stale for my tastes.

    Nothing personal. I’m sure he has a lot of merits as a person, but in a post “democratic fascism” world, the right/left narrative is nothing more than a boat anchor.

      Good comment, Wombat. I’m a fan of Greenfield because although there’s a lot of truth in what you say, he nevertheless seems to be able to look at a lot of things from a different angle to most.
      Or perhaps I’m just too dumb to think of those angles for myself….. :sad:

          I’ve tried to find the actual speech of which I tried to recreate from memory, but have come up empty. I imagine that the establishment “Right” wants that updated version of “A Time for Choosing” to remain lost precisely because Reagan predicted people such as you being fed up with them.

            An excellent post and most appropriate. Here’s the problem. The Tea Party will never gain a voting majority in America. Never ever ever. Period. No amount of rallying and protesting and handing out leaflets and winning hearts and minds will stop the critical mass of illegal (but able to vote) immigrants, free shit army parasites, low information voters and blind rep/dem zealots. For every vote the Tea Party wins, five Mexicans step over the border and vote Democrat.
            From here on in Democracy shows its ugly side, where the rights of the few are bludgeoned to a pulp by the votes of the many. Acceptable to some because…. Democracy! Not to me, however.
            Ron Paul was the last great hope for America, and we saw what the Republican party fatcats did to him, right? They rigged every poll, warped every outcome and even locked his supporters out of Republican events.
            Democracy in the U.S. is done.
            There are now only tyrants, nobility, subjects and slaves.

            Mao will claw back his due. From here on out all political power will flow from the barrel of a gun.

      Knish still gets his main paycheck comes from David Horowitz. After Horowitz began the Alinsky tactics on Diana West, revealing why he cannot be trusted, in my book nobody who still works for that man is trustworthy. Period.

      Wombat, he gave you a direct answer about the Left only because I fear you allowed him an opening. I think I could help you tailor it so he’d have less wiggle room.

      Wiggle room? His answer was evasive in my opinion because he did not address your concerns about the “official” Right. Witness how he evaded mine with “progs believe happiness is escapism.” That asserts their tactic is their strategic goal. That is the Huxley (Brave New World) model I will grant him. However, his main post is filled with lead-ins to the Orwell model. Escapism is the tool that has distracted so many Americans. Who was it that said (paraphrasing) “They may mean to rule benignly, but they mean to rule.”

      He ignored the Statist ramp up I implied by “In fact, we are witnessing them in action in America right now.”

      I’ve another comment to leave him that includes some of this and some more about the Jewish covenant with God found in Gen 22. I surely hope he doesn’t evade that too. Stay tuned.

      Oh, and please don’t get me wrong. I find what Greenfield write to be exceedingly good. But it remains only talk, and to that extent it is entertaining when not infuriating (which may be the point when you think about it.)

      What I would wish for us liberty seekers is to react like all the followers at the end of a cartoon I am about to link to.
      When the man is right we learn from him. When he aims to take us where we know we don’t want to go, it tells us what we will do.

      You’re correct. The only thing that matters is freedom. Freedom for every man to go his own way, enjoy his triumphs and suffer for his mistakes.

      This is why I will butt heads with anyone who thinks they’re doing the world a favor by advocating tyranny-lite over tyranny-regular.

Our Curmudgeon Emeritus may be willing to allow that since it won’t be his job any longer to police the comments (something that is often tiresome and thankless for someone who has many other important things to say.)

    Whoa. If that “right” is not a typo, I’d like you to demonstrate the ways they are moving right. Had you written they’ve been moving to the left since Bush41, and more in substance than in rhetoric, I’d have no need to ask for examples.

    Over the last two decades, the GOPe has pulled up whole stakes of republican principles and moved Left, letting the radicals on the Left set the agenda and them ever willing to compromise on nearly anything.

    Dems: “I want your life.”

    GOP: “Won’t you accept an few toes? Next week we’ll arrange for you some poor schnook’s arm.”

    Well, you tell me if Greenfield’s response to me demonstrates he ignores the first rule of holes.

    The Rockefeller Republicans are dead. Ford and even Goldwater blasted the GOP as having gone too far to the right.

    Ford was so Rockefeller that he made one his Veep. Goldwater, by the end of his days, was a major supporter of Planned Barrenhood. So that was GOPe rhetoric, no different from Dem rhetoric.

    The presidential candidates still tend to be liberal, but they have to talk like conservatives, which is in some ways disastrous because it gives us the worst of both worlds, but it does highlight the shift. [emphasis added]

    Uh, Dan that is exactly what I said: they’ve been moving to the left, but more in substance than in rhetoric. But you have a but, doncha?

    The party establishment is still far more liberal and eager to surrender on most issues, but it has slowly and grudgingly moved to the right.

    I showed this to another friend in IM. His wishful suggestion was “Maybe he’s drunk.”

    In his own way Greenfield seems to be wanting to prove my words correct, but is arguing the other way. WTF? I am beginning to see your point again KG. Perhaps he has to answer for his words to men who grant him access. And he can’t dare say he was wrong but he can double-talk so that we get the message that he was wrong and Wombat was right.

    But that last is all speculation. Sad ain’t it?

    Just damn. I so liked that his original thread seems so pro-life and anti-sustainability worshiping (as are also many of his earlier comments.) Dear Lord help us.
