Every system of government that grows to big and too powerful will oppress its citizens. The problem with every system of government is that it always wants to grow bigger.
This is the reason we have revolutions and civil wars every so often – I think of a revolution as a forest fire that burns all the dead wood and cleans out the forest so that it can remain healthy.
