Wow, that really was an excellent speech. We don’t often these days hear any pollie, from any party, in any Parliament in either your country or mine so eloquently defend the principles of free speech (which is really the founding principle of liberty).

Like firearms ownership, all speech must be ‘registered’, so that no-one gets hurt………… feelings.
Exactly, Kelt. The amazing thing is that so many people just don’t “get” that, and allow themselves to be manipulated and led by those who are their enemies.
Maybe it’s just easier to go along with the loudest voices, on the assumption that if so many are shouting, there must be some substance to what they’re hollering.
Or perhaps people simply dare not confront the truth, because if they did they’d have to speak out and risk being ejected from the Tribe?

Nah, the media have a political agenda and they see censorship of views which oppose that agenda as a good thing. They’re confident that what they say won’t be censored, since they’re supporters of statism.
Take a look at this, and tell me I’m wrong–support for state-enforced censorship wrapped up as mealy mouthed righteousness:
