Invasion:

‘More than 4,000 migrants have arrived on Europe’s shores by boat in the past two days, with the Italian government calling the crisis ‘increasingly glaring’.
The emergency comes days after Italy’s Home Secretary Angelino Alfano warned that more than half a million migrants were ready to set sail from Northern Africa for Europe.
……The traffickers, who reap vast profits from the boatloads, are equipped with satellite phones and send out requests for help just 30 to 40 miles after leaving the Libyan coasts, he said….’
The Camp of the Saints was prophetic and the Prog bleeding-heart critics of the book wrong.

Italy needs to copy Abbott – turn them back. They have far too many of their own to help especially in the south.

I don’t think the political will exists, Mawm. Especially given the chaotic state of Italian politics.
This thing is going to play out to the disastrous end, unless ordinary people decide they’ve had enough.

And don’t forget that the new pope is all for taking in the boat people. He recently said some very nasty things about those who want to stop the drownings.

It’s like some of these people live in an alternate universe. Perhaps when it’s their quarters that are being invaded they might stop and think, oh shit, maybe all this wasn’t such a brilliant idea after all.

Ah yes, the socialist Pope….

“The white Vatican plane was the first to touch down, winner by several lengths. No matter where or when, it always managed to get there first. As if they kept it ready, night and day, for instant takeoff, loaded with medicines, with Dominicans in jeans, and with pious pronouncements. It must have flown faster than sound, at the speed of symbols, no doubt. To equip it, Pope Benedict XVI, impoverished by his predecessor’s whim, would sell his tiara and his Cadillac. But there still were places, here and there, full of simple, superstitious Catholics who couldn’t conceive of a pope without a tiara or a fancy car—the really backward parishes of Corsica, Brittany, Ireland, Louisiana, Galicia, Calabria, and the like—and it never took long for the money to pour in. The Pope, dejected, would give in to those poor, dear souls, and buy back his car and tiara, only to sell them again with great delight—humble saint that he was—the moment world opinion or the pressure of events called for the white plane to fly a new mission. But alas! They kept making him rich. How distressing. He did so truly want to be poor! Lucky for him that the white plane was there to help him out in his hour of need! … A pope in tune with the times, congenial to the press…”

Fuck me, but that Jean Raspail was one hell of a prophet!

My first reaction was “you people from north o’ the border are bat-crap crazy!”

But on thinking about it, even though Vic doesn’t get anything like the fun weather Northern Qld does, I do recall several evenings sitting on my back porch gazing in silent awe at the sheer power of the Aussie weather.

Don’t those ignorant Dings have a Press Council? You can’t have people running around calling asylum seekers immigrants.

  5. Wombat says:

    Wild stuff.

Though when the debt bomb triggers and society grinds to a halt, the bleeding heart Italians are going to see just how “grateful” their new arrivals are.

WTF? Obvious is obscure to those who would not give a sniff for those less fortunate than themselves. Unless, these less fortunate are useful. In which case, they become useful idiots. These people tend to surround themselves with useful idiots. That proves that they are capable of learning from history. Fuc* Me, they’ve learned clever. Where do we run?

  7. Robertv says:

Ones they are the majority they won’t be so tolerant with their saviors. This will end in blood lots of it for the simple reason that for them the rest is dirt. For Nasi Germany there were no good or bad jews. They were only inferior dirt.
