I am heading to the Peoples’ Republic of Western Australia today. I am tasked with removing my back fence as it is made from asbestos. A Hitler with a clipboard (Subiaco City Council) told me it has to go because it is made of asbestos. My understanding, and others amongst your knowledgable readers will know, it is only the “blue” asbestos which can flake and destroy lungs. “Blue” asbestos was generally the best and most expensive and it is highly likely it is not what my fence is made of. Thoughts? Anyway I enjoy smashing things including fences!
PS In a land so prone to bushfires I can understand how a fire retardant fence constructed in asbestos makes perfect sense for fencing material.
By the way: I have to place a sign on my front fence warning of asbestos removal despite the fact it is the rear fence being destroyed. I shall refuse to place the mandatory orange cones along the rear lane-way as my neighbours won’t be bothered.
Don’t you have to get a government-approved contractor, certified in handling hazmat, to remove your fence, Cad?

But here’s a real nightmare scenario (I think) Rush came up with. The radical left have been pressuring Ginsberg to step down before the Republicans can stop confirmation of her successor. If she goes, with Harry Reid having destroyed the Senate’s rules on blocking Presidential appointments, Holder could easily be confirmed into the vacant penguin seat during the lame-duck session.
I wonder how that would go. A Supreme Court on which Holder sits, hearing a case related to Congress’ holding of Holder in contempt.
Well, we already know the the soviet-style media won’t protest failure to recuse himself from the case given their silence on Satomayor’s sitting in on the Obamacare case.
